If it’s like any other vehicle on the road, the difference will lie in the dampers and springs (coilovers in this case). You may have different control arms with BL and/or Sasquatch, but I highly doubt it. Not to mention, a tubular or billet upper arm will probably be part of most higher end...
Thanks Zach. I do really want my Bronco, but I’m driving a 20 year old Land Rover, and I really don’t want to mess you guys up if I end up having to cancel because of a way later than expected delivery.
No idea if this will get a response, but here’s my conundrum:
My reservation is 0830, 15 July. The percentages you listed - are those just for July or the entire period for Ford’s initial calculation? If the latter, it looks like I’m a MY22 buyer if everyone goes through and gets something...
I think the 2.3L in the bronco is going to be a better engine. The 3.6 is a workhorse and very reliable, but the 2.3 has 50 ft lbs more torque, and is easily tuned to add 75+ more.
I agree though, the manual 3.6 is a fun little mill. I just hope the shifter and clutch feel in the Bronco aren’t...
The Mopar lift is $1495, plus install if you can’t wrench on your own. But they’re stupid easy to install on a Jeep.
Wheels and tires are going to have A huge range depending on what you want. Figure around $3000+ for 37’s.
SFA isn’t all that bad. My 20 year old Land Rover does just fine on...
The 2.3 is very similar to the 2.0, and has more torque. I have no doubt either Bronco engine will be just fine. Gear ratios in the autos are similar as well.
Adding to my original post:
I got a quote. The big dealer who does big Wrangler deals is going 5% under invoice in the 4xe. There’s a few forced options which I would get anyway, and a forced painted hardtop ($2495) which I would not have wanted.
So my total with tax and their processing fee...
With deliveries starting “maybe” in June-July, and several thousands or tens of thousands of people ahead of me, I just don’t know. Not to mention who knows what further delays are in the pipeline.
We shall see!
I’m selling my Landy this spring most likely. So I need something in 2021, hopefully summer so I can enjoy it. This summer was a total loss at my house for multiple reasons. Not real excited to spend the summer waiting for my ride.
Haha so true. I’m used to the JKU and my Landy, so the JLU really did surprise me. Potential death wobble aside, Jeep nailed the JLU. And DW is fixable.
I wish I was one of those diehard Bronco guys cause it would be easy to decide.
Haha it was a quick lunch time drive. Sorry.
Heres a pic from their website. I’ll be clear, they wanted $12,000 for the lift and tires.... no way I’m paying that to anybody.
Per the title. I’ve been eyeing the 4xe purely for economic reasons. With a good under invoice deal, a loaded 4xe should cost me about the same as a BL, Lux, 2.7, non squatch. I figured it was worth a chance to look.
First off, Jeep’s new color for this year, Sarge Green, is absolutely...
