Exactly right. The last time I ordered a new door handle was for my Chevy Volt. It's door handles were red in color, and matched the body color. It arrived at my Chevrolet dealer in primer grey. Of course, the dealer's body shop had to paint them to match. This is normal.
Guys, IMHO, we may be over-thinking this white top thing. Yes, like what feels like 99% of everyone else here, I also want CG with a white top (preferably baked in the plastic, but painted would be OK, too, just not as good). But, I ain't gunna 'count my eggs till they've hatched.' I have no...
My takeaway is this is proof positive that a modern automatic transmission puts a manual to shame, every time. The auto made it out in just 2 tries (let alone, he darn near made it out on Try #1). The manual tranny made 5 attempts, before finally climbing out.
The only reason I can see to buy...
Looks like Ford took my demand for head-to-head drive-off tests with the Jeep Rubicon. Keep it up, Ford! Shows those Ford boys are on this forum.
Now, if we could please get the 2.7 with the 7-speed manual. FSRY
Nope, I ain't no Bill Gates, or better yet, Jeff Bezos. Can't afford to buy both of em. That's my point: I need to know which one is 'better' off-road fun toy machine, so I can make a good decision, and buy the best rock crawler/off-road vehicle, and not some mall crawler, like my G63. Already...
It's increasingly looking to me like Ford is running very scared, and trying to hide the fact that their new car, at best, may possible equal the capabilities of the Jeep Rubicon. Otherwise, why the heck would Ford not do such head-to-head testing, especially given the fact the Rubi is already...
Exactly. That's my point! The Rubicon is there, on-scene, so why not run an A/B test comparison test, head-to-head, no holds barred, each and every time Ford runs a test? Unless, of course, Ford is a'scared the Jeep will (easily) match the Bronco, maybe even beat it, in such tests? I realize...
I wish each time Ford does a test of the ilk of this one, they would do the exact same thing (or, shall we say, 'attempt to do the exact same thing') with a Jeep Rubicon. This way, we could see how these 2 vehicles stack up, head-to-head, in the infamous 'real world.'
I would love to see a video of an A/B drive test involving such obstacles (ideally on the Ribicon Trail) between a Bronco equipped with the 2.7 and 10-spd auto vs/ the 2.3 with the 7 spd manual, in Crawler 1st gear low, with its awesome
95:1 final ratio.
Iām guessing the latter would āwin?ā
and, letās donāt forget to add sales tax (10.6% for my state and local), plus the substantial cost of an EFW to your total car cost of $60k. My guesstimate of a fully loaded Brinco Badlands Drive-off-the-lot total cost will likely easily rise to well over $70k.
I wouldnāt really want to cause...
I really like the idea of the vinyl option. However, my beef is it appears with vinyl you cannot get the 10-way power seat adjustment, and are limited to strictly 6-way manual only. This is based on the model options chart. Arrggggh...
