Oh good. The reservation elite/police are back. There's a reason I haven't/didn't reserve, but I'm also capable of viewing what's going on in an unfavorable lens. I'm going to be getting one, just not right away. That doesn't make me less of a person, thanks.
Wow. I've been away from the site for a bit as I've had other priorities and focused less on the Bronco since I figured I'd be waiting a year anyway. But holy crap this launch has been a total disaster. I was assuming I'd end up buying/taking delivery in CY2022 but honestly after this debacle...
LMAO obviously I can read what it's advertised as. It seems a lot of people have experience with this Hotheads thing, which I do not. Hence the question. But thanks, I guess, for your very generic response.
Serious question: I'm not too familiar with this type of application or Hotheads....is this strictly for sound reduction, or does it also offer insulation?
I look at this as the modern take on Henry Ford's 'You can have it in any color as long as it's black' and one model only. Which...kinda neat to think about.
That said, I'd be out.
I don't understand rolling out a brand new product not only in the middle of a pandemic but also when you know that one of your supplied parts isn't done and wrapped up and ready to go. This whole thing has been a debacle.
I'm still convinced that an aftermarket swap for a bigger screen (up to 12") is going to be no sweat. I'll start with the 8" and swap if I want to later.
If an aftermarket shop can take a 2014 Mustang from a pre-touchscreen knob setup to a totally touchscreen panel, going from an 8" to 12" screen should be no problem. Especially since it wouldn't be replacing any knobs or buttons. I guess we'll see.
Couple things here for me:
- It does seem like the wheels are a bit smallish here. It doesn't look bad, but they don't look as intimidating as others we've seen. But I do like the look of the steelies.
- I don't mind the 8in screen, but it's nice to know that a 12in is available. I think I'll...
So are accessories the only thing missing on the B&P? Is that what they're updating?
I don't have a reservation, but this whole launch has been a fiasco. Maybe not to the casual observer, but for people who actually want and are excited about the Bronco, it's been a nightmare.
After everything...
All of these delays and switches are just making me realize I'm probably going to be happier waiting a year and getting what I really want as opposed to piecing it together (if that's even possible) as time rolls along.
This is basically why we're looking at BD. We don't do A TON of off-roading but do it enough, and in wildly various conditions, to where the flexibility is desirable. BD seems to be the sweet spot for the weekend enthusiast, similar to how a Mustang is a nice medium between a Fusion and a GT.
I assumed since there was no 5-door option when there is a 3-door option (meaning he thought theoretically there should be) that it was a serious question. I guess my sarcasm-meter was off.
