23 BD 2DR 7MT with 38,000 miles and no issues so far other than a slight cold temp initial rattle others have mentioned. Added 35's and 2 inch lift. It is a blast to drive, especially in sport mode! The 2DR with crawler gear is a beast on the trails, goes anywhere and crawls up anything.
What were typical symptoms folks have seen prior to failure/replacement?
I have had an intermittent "rumble" for a few weeks that I have never experienced before in any other vehicle. Best description is that of running over a rumble strip that is so light you can barely hear or feel it, but...
I have SAS take-offs on my 2dr 7MT BD and have no problems. I would not install 315s on stock BD rims either, but I also avoid spacers....asking for problems IMO. Enjoy!
Shifting pattern will improve with bigger tires, especially 1st and 2nd....based on my experience going from the stock 32's to 35's. But now 6th only useful over 65 mph.
The manual's also drive better in Sport mode, IMO! Turbo kicks in quicker.
Old school days, powering a cornering light through a time-delay relay where the relay coil was powered using the turn signal power would probably work. If the time delay is 3-sec for example, the light would turn on with the turn signal and stay on 3 seconds after the last flash.
With...
Find the noise begins to increase above 65 mph, with it getting quite loud above 70 mph. Generally mount tent as far forward as rear brackets allow based on weight distribution, but my tent is much shorter than yours.
23 BD 2DR 7MT non-sas: I do not have front lockers or disco and so far have been able to go anywhere I wanted to go w/o issue, including a lot of 5/6/7 rated trails. I did upgrade to 35s (sas tackoffs) and 2" lift. Only one spot so far where FLs would have been nice, but just chose another...
23 BD with small screen. From day 1, using OnePlus phone, sound quality using phone was not great, and everyone I talked to said they could barely hear me. The suddenly one day all I got out of the speakers was loud static, same as you. Tried changing all kinds of settings, no difference...
After watching a black bear cross the trail 10 feet in front of us, with flimsy Chinese tube doors on miles from anyone or anywhere while munching on tasty snacks, triggered the thought "its not what can fall out, but what can crawl in".
@Snowdogyyz : Did you end up ordering/using the 2-pin extension wires per Oracle's suggestion? I recently did but the threads on the ext wire connectors are a different size than that on the fog light. Not much, only a mm or 2, but the caps will not screw on. So far, no resolution......
Sport mode in my 7MT is a no brainer, as others have said it allows the turbo to kick in at lower RPMs and makes a huge positive difference, especially in 3rd/4th gears. However, don't like sport mode in my better-half's auto, the shifting pattern feels harsh and engine revs too high before...
