  1. What are you cross-shopping the Bronco against?

I definitely won’t be rock climbing with it anytime soon! I still like my Tundra and plan to keep it, but it’s such a pain in the tight parking garage at work and when parking downtown in general.
  2. What are you cross-shopping the Bronco against?

A little surprised at the number of people cross shopping with full size trucks. I have a 2018 Tundra I plan to keep but looking for something more maneuverable and fun. A CUV is the practical choice but I’d rather go with something more exciting like a 2 door Bronco or Jeep (my second choice).
  3. Base vs Big Bend trim question/help

I used an aftermarket product called Wheelskins on a previous vehicle and was very pleased. Genuine leather and a custom fit to your vehicle. Also available in many colors and styles. I’m thinking it was $40-$50 or so. A side benefit is it will be much easier to replace than the factory...
  4. Towing package content?

I’m wondering if it is packaged with aux switches like the Wrangler?
  5. Anyone taught their wife to drive a Manual Trans?

If you try it, I hope you have better luck than me. I thought my wife was going to slap me when I suggested a manual. Just look at it as a very cheap Autopilot option for those long trips where you want to take a break and let her drive. At least that’s what I tell myself.
  6. Bronco Owners Going Soft?

It’s so obvious that Ford is trying to squeeze every dime they can out of Bronco customers. Brilliant marketing, honestly. Want a no frills model with vinyl seats and flooring and steelies? “That’ll be an $8000 up charge sir for our Black Diamond model”. Want a heated steering wheel like Jeep...
  7. Outer Banks Bronco Thread

I’ve been wondering if there would be limitations on V6 and or Sasquatch due to fuel economy regulations. If the first 7000 built are FEs (Sasquatch V6es), I bet they are followed by a large run of high trim 2.3L non-squatches to offset those.
  8. Tennessee people - Where do you live and what dealership do you plan on buying from?

That’s good to know. The salesperson who texted me gave me the usual “it’s too early to know about pricing”. I had to press him a little to confirm no ADM.
  9. Tennessee people - Where do you live and what dealership do you plan on buying from?

Same here, but undecided about whether to keep Mtn View Ford reservation. They confirmed no ADM, but noncommittal on Xplan.
  10. Reservation Priority vs Dealer Priority and Allocation

This is good news! Hard to believe though, that they would potentially open it up for a small number of well-publicized low-cost dealers to scoop up a huge number of deliveries.
  11. Reservation Priority vs Dealer Priority and Allocation

From past experience, I know that Ford dealerships are typically allocated a set number of vehicles and are allowed to prioritize their customer orders. Naturally this would allow dealers to rank more profitable orders ahead of others so that they have a higher chance of being built. How...
  12. Upgrading Costs 2.3 7 Manual to 2.7 10 Auto Trans

I think OP is closer than many think. Jeep charges $2750 for automatic and doesn’t even offer a similar engine upgrade. In the end they will charge what they think people will pay. I’m hoping less than $4500 for both, but would not surprise me if it’s more.
  13. Base vs Big Bend trim question/help

I’m also trying to decide between base and Big Bend and maybe Black Diamond. Really want 32” tires, though. It will all depend on option pricing. I will probably get auto transmission, though I’m fully expecting Ford to price it high like Jeep ($2750) and tout the special terrain modes and...
  14. Sasquatch Package price will be?

I just put my reservation in and selected Mountain View. Glad to hear they take X-plan. If you don’t mind me asking, what salesperson are you working with?
