This is correct, they just need to either be drilled slightly larger or in my case I did some grinding. Not a deal breaker imo, but does add to the install time.

Those who are wondering, it probably protrudes around 1.5 inches beyond the factory point and hangs lower. You do lose a bit of approach angle for sure, but that is not uncommon with winches.

I booked a campsite, $30 right on a creek. Will get up there early Friday and fly fish all day. Then pack up the next morning and make the 15 minute drive.
