I ended up getting the 12" on sale for the same price as the 10" crutchfield screwed up. So I just received it Friday and all I can say is omg. The 8" would have been enough I'm sure but oh well I have it now. Thanks for the reply.
Factory speakers are rated at 20 watts at best. Some are keeping the 6.5 kick panel speakers and only changing the 4" in front and rear. I changes the dash and kick panel and waiting for 6.5 rear pods mod. The new upgraded speakers made an amazing difference. Even if you buy cheap 40$...
I decided to go with the cxa 800.1 mono amp with the key 200.4 and omg. It's really too much bass but now I have total control of more or less. I decided to go with the kicker 12" down firing with the passive radior. Sound is amazing
Did anyone mount the 12" kicker yet? LOOKING FOR REVIEWS
This is what I am leaning towards. I just don't know if I want the comp series with the passive radior or the l7 square.
As for as 12" sub sound goes,I have a barrowed 12 street gear made by Memphis Audio(15 year old 50$ Walmart sub) on...
You beat me to doing the rear pods. I have the 4" Rockford Fosgate Prime series in the dash,6.75 power series in the kick panel. Still stock 4" in the read due to wanting to do the 6.5/6.75 tower pods. I have the Kicker key 200.4 for the speakers and the kicker cxa800.1 for a borrowed no name...
Good evening all. Would like to get everyone's location. We had a local Irish/Italian parade today and there were about 50 jeeps between 2 different clubs. Would like to try to get together monthly and form a group to start may doing events. What are everyone's thoughts?
I have the plug and play kit with the key 200.4 and 800x1 amps coming in Thursday. So far I replaced the dash with RF 4" with 300htx blockers and have the RF power series 6.75 in the kick panels. Haven't decided on a 10" or 12" sub yet or weather I want a down firing or back door mounted...
I'm running it on the back as well. Getting a custom cross bar made to run 6.5 tower speaker pods in the rear to match the kick panel.
Do you have a sub installed yet?
Installing the blockers on the dash will be a big help on keeping the 4" from sounding muffled. The lower 120htz setting will work better on the larger kick panel speakers. Just my opinion. When I installed my Rockford Fosgate 4" in the dash they sure did move alot with just the factory base...
I have read from the beginning. My observation is that the full range signal is pulled in from the front channels and corrected by the dsp of the amp giving the rear channels full range corrected dsp signal. If you find who all has done this so far is amazed at the difference in sound quality...
