It was fairly stable... it never fell over. I only ran this setup a couple of times, and I started running the straps higher on the fork for more downforce after this.
If you want to store the bike upright, I'd get a fork mount. I have one for when I shuttle four bikes (one inside and three on...
Yup. I totally get it. The one up is a good rack. I borrowed my buddy's for a weekend trip when I was waiting for the Quikr Rack to come in.
I never keep the rack installed on the Bronco, so the easy install with no tools was a big feature for me. That wouldn't be a big selling point for some...
Not really, it's still amazing! Zero regrets. It's so easy to install with no tools. The only tool I use is a wrench for the 1-up hitch extender, which I'd have to do with any rack.
It's super easy to attach the add-on racks if needed. I frequently drive to the trails solo with the single bike...
I'm a fan of the Builtright mount. It uses mounting points on the factory bumper and it's adjustable. I have mine installed a little higher than how they have it in the picture on their site: https://builtrightind.com/products/license-plate-mount-ford-bronco-2021-w-steel-bumper
I've had the RC top for a few months now and I'm pretty happy with it. I haven't had any issues with flapping — it's easy to get this thing real tight. The strap ends are also easy to tuck away to avoid flapping.
I really like that I can keep this installed and still easily put the hardtop...
I haven't tried. My guess is that I might be able to get the rack on without the extension but I wouldn't be able to get a bike on that first tray. I'd have to use the extension rack to put the bike on.
I can measure next time I have it installed. I don't see you having any issue with...
@FellowM3 I finally got the rack in a few weeks ago. I posted about it here: https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/quik-rack-mach2-bike-rack-setup.48675/
I haven't seen anyone post about the Quik Rack Mach 2 (Quikr Stuff) yet. After waiting about 6 months for it, I finally got mine a few weeks ago. For those who don't know, the Quik Rack is designed by the original designer of the 1Up rack - he took the 1up design and improved just about...
Not yet! Apparently, I have an addiction to ordering things that I have to wait a long time for. I'm still about two months out according to their production queue. They accumulated a pretty big backlog with the aluminum shortage. I can post an update when I get it.
If you're interested, this...
I have a 3-bike hitch rack on order. While I wait for it to come in, I've been running this set-up and it's been working great. It's just two Husky velcro straps from the anchor points to around the fork and another strap (old carseat anchor) from between the molle panels on the front seats and...
Yeah, I thought the same thing when I first them. It's a bit of a price increase from the 1UP racks but I thought the features and upgrades were worth it. The designer basically took his original 1Up design and improved everything about it.
Nice cruisers! I have a 26" SE that does get ridden...
I pulled the trigger on a Quik Rack Mach2 - which designed by the original designer of the 1Up rack. I like the fitment of the 1Up racks on the Bronco so I'm hoping the Quik Rack is a similar fit.
Delivery on the Quik Rack is still at least 90 days out but I'm also still waiting on my Bronco...
@BuiltRight Industries I know this is a very non-sexy ask but is there any chance you'd engineer a better front license plate bracket with an alternative mounting location for the HD Modular Front Bumper?
I was surprised at the sasquatch take rate as well. I took a looked closer at the data and realized the Sasquatch calculation includes FE and Wildtrack builds that come with that package. So, the number is more reflective of how many builds will have that package rather than the number of orders...
