Just down the road from Big Bend (relatively speaking in Texan).
We should wait to call until the pricing and configuration drops next month. We would have a better idea of the trims, counts, etc. We could also do volume buys on all the accessories, as they may have more wiggle room on those...
I'm liking the momentum here. Add me to the list. I'm at Covert Austin today. They seem committed to MSRP/ x-plan, but I'd be up to move if a better deal pops up.
I wonder how this impacts the "late addition" color of velocity blue. Does that date push back too or will that make it available with the initial deliveries?
My backup plan is a Bronco Raptor, or maybe the new WRX if that looks fun. This is more of a want than a need. I'm looking at the Bronco as something fun to get into since the gen 1 bucket list item gets further out of reach.
Signs point to the increase being due to overselling the original 3,500 (they didn't open it back up for others). I'd be interested to know how many they let through, and what they assume retention will be on those reservations. Did they overdo it by 3000? a few hundred and are giving more to...
Agree - it's less exclusivity, and more resale. Given a similar spec'ed out Badlands or a something different First Edition, I went with the FE. If the purchase price is the same (and that's a big if), I'd rather have the thing with the higher potential resale value.
I was debating it given the lack of exterior and interior color options, no x-plan, AND that I can build the same off the Badlands and I only lose stickers... This pretty much does it. Velocity Blue here I come.
