Mulally reorgainzed Ford's financial war chest leading up to 2008 that gave Ford the deep capital well to turn around the struggling brand. Turns out this reorg came at the right time to give Ford the necessary buffer during the 2008 crisis. He got "lucky" in terms of political/pr leverage...
Two different eras. Mulally doesn't have to deal with the safety and emission regulations that Farley faces. Nor was the horsepower/efficiency competition nearly as nuts, in addition to an ever regulated labor force.
1700 improperly assembled engines is interesting......especially since...
Thought about running a DC-DC (alternator) charger, but some of these units can pull 600–800W while charging lithium batteries. At idle, that can be a significant continuous load on the alternator, especially when combined with other vehicle electrical loads. I’ll stick with slower charging...
That sucks, poor assembly QC from the factory.
My experience on alignment:
- Staring at the tailgate from the rear of the vehicle:
The tail can be adjusted left/right...ie sliding to the driver side or sliding to the passenger side.
The other axis of adjustment is depth....ie, how much of...
Agreed, probably wasn't in 4 low, or the crawler gear.....perhaps used the reverse gear in 4 high. Any type of yanking while off road with the 7MT needs to be in 4 low, crawler, and preferably from the rear tow point, not the front.
I had it done immediately after getting the Bronco. Promptly took it to Baja and had it pin striped. Most of the pin stripping was buffed out afterwards. I'll reapply every year, it was only $500 for just the painted surfaces on my 2 door. Wish I got PPF for the rocker panels though.
Lining up the tailgate and getting the residue off the emblem took the most time. Did one hinge at a time, never had to remove the tailgate completely. Used the spare for support as mentioned earlier in this thread.
Still images, 16 minutes of "content".....it's the antithesis of the lockpicklawyer Youtube videos, succinct, to the point, and never pandering to the algorithm.
Toyota nerfed the crap out of the fuel tank for the Land Cruiser....which I think is slightly bigger than the 2 door Bronco. The range is fine for paved roads, but once you hit dirt, that's not the hybrid system you want. The pipe dream is to have Formula 1/Porsche 911 GTS style hybrid, by...
Changed the oil at odometer 1275 with Motocraft Full Syn and filter on my 2025 2.3 MT. Then changed the oil based off of the IOLM. At 11% oil life left (7534 miles on the oil), oil was changed again with Motocraft Full Syn and Filter. 7500 included two long weekend off road trips, a few...
