  1. Winches - Converting from wire to synthetic.

    Hello, I have a Warn 9.5xp winch with a steel cable and am looking at the possibility of converting it to synthetic rope. Besides changing the roller to a hawse fairlead, will I also have to change the drum? Do synthetics use a different style drum? Thanks in advance for all replies.

    Hello all, What are the alternator locations on the 2.3 and 2.7 engines? Up high out of harm's way, down low where it can get clogged with mud or somewhere in the middle?
