  1. Ford Has Shot Themselves In The Foot

With the news that Ford is cutting 2024 F150 Lightning production in half due to huge loss of interest in EVs, Ford getting rid of the Base Bronco trim and raising the base cost of a Bronco from $28.5k in 2021 to $39k now, and not being able to get a decently optioned Ranger for around $40k, I...
  2. Ford Bronco being considered for Europe, says Jim Farley

Can we please worry about the USA first, since Ford is an American company after all? Before Mexico, Canada, and some Sheikh from UAE got theirs, every American order should have been fulfilled first.
  3. I’ve only seen one….

I saw two in the same day in Alma, CO. Mosquito pass is the highest elevation unpaved mountain pass (in the USA) point-to-point road that goes between Leadville and Alma. A circuit Pastor, Father Dyer, of the United Methodist Church used to take the pass by foot in the 1800s to deliver mail...
  4. Should I trade my Jeep for the Bronco? – Justin B. McBride

I love Justin McBride and his content even though I don't agree with a lot of his opinions. He tried saying that the Bronco Sport Badlands wasn't a proper overland/off-road vehicle and I had to prove him wrong when I took my new Bronco Sport Badlands (admittedly with a huge tire upgrade in...
  5. Eruption Green & Hot Pepper Red Metallic coming for 2022 Bronco. Antimatter Blue, Lightning Blue and Rapid Red Going Away

I guess it's time Ford built a dedicated Bronco assembly plant then if that is their reasoning behind keeping crap boring. Ford needs to realize they are competing with Jeep on more than just capability. Jeep colors blow Ford's colors to hell and back, and I'm not even a Jeep guy.
  6. Eruption Green & Hot Pepper Red Metallic coming for 2022 Bronco. Antimatter Blue, Lightning Blue and Rapid Red Going Away

My thing is that is what people ordered. So, call it a MY22 or MY23, I don't care about the model year. What I care about is Ford fulfilling orders as they were ordered until all original MY21 orders have been built. Only orders made after the MY21 deadline would have to change their color...
  7. Eruption Green & Hot Pepper Red Metallic coming for 2022 Bronco. Antimatter Blue, Lightning Blue and Rapid Red Going Away

Ford should be required to fill all orders with discontinued colors before moving on to MY22. Personally I think any Broncos that were converted to orders before the deadline should all be MY21, even if that means that the next Model Year would be 2023.
  8. Eruption Green & Hot Pepper Red Metallic coming for 2022 Bronco. Antimatter Blue, Lightning Blue and Rapid Red Going Away

Ford says they listened to customers......... The last I remember, we didn't just want "a" green, but satin or matte finish Olive Drab Green. What about satin or matte finish Desert Tan as well? If you say this is a dedicated off-roader, how about an industry first "bedliner clear coat? What...
  9. Hot off the press… constraints on modular front bumper, 2.3L engine, 10-speed auto transmission and 4x4 system

I know right, the only difference is my wife wants to go with me (she's crazier than I am, I'm just the better driver). My inspiration for doing BBP is seeing lifted Renegades and Cherokees do it. If their Mopar product can do it, I have no doubts in my BS Badlands.
  10. Hot off the press… constraints on modular front bumper, 2.3L engine, 10-speed auto transmission and 4x4 system

I absolutely love my BS Badlands. She has gone anywhere I've asked her to go for me. That's saying quite a bit because I was coming from a lifted F150 to the Sport. Very shortly, like I said, I will be doing the 4WP 1 inch lift for the BL and putting the 31 inch tires on it which should give me...
  11. Customer Pics of our Retro Side Stripes installed!!

It's nice, but it would still look way better as a 2-Door. Seeing them both in person has solidified my opinion that the 4-door, while more practical for families, just doesn't look like a "Bronco". I'm still not knocking anyone who buys one.
  12. Hot off the press… constraints on modular front bumper, 2.3L engine, 10-speed auto transmission and 4x4 system

It's been so-so. There are some options with very limited availability. I had to search across 4 states to find a Badlands trim that wasn't marked up $3-5K. I got mine for 500 below MSRP. It was one of only two Badlands on a lot in the state of Missouri at the time, according to CarGurus.
  13. Hot off the press… constraints on modular front bumper, 2.3L engine, 10-speed auto transmission and 4x4 system

Lol now I kind of feel good that I had to cancel my reservation before I made it an order in January, due to unforeseen circumstances. On the flip-side guys, I have a Bronco Sport Badlands now that I've already been taking off-road, and will be lifting and putting bigger tires on soon to have...
  14. Want to know if the Bronco Sport can be used for overlanding?

There are quite a few people who would disagree with you on that. Many sites, including Overland Expo seem to think that the Bronco Sport Badlands, in it's lifted application with some 31s (like the setup from 4WP) would be more than sufficient for the vast majority of overlanding trips. The...
  15. Anyone sold a car to Vroom?

I don't use online buyers at all and I find that they lowball people bad. When I was trading my truck, I pulled the NADA and not accounting for all the aftermarket work I had done to it, it appraised at $16.2k. Vroom offered me $5.5k. Needless to say Vroom didn't get my truck, but a Ford lot did...
  16. Disconcerting video - Broken GOAT mode during off roading?

My point exactly. The best way to learn to off road is to just do it without the techy bits and make mistakes. That's how myself and many others learned to do it originally and I never had a rear locker on our old farm truck, just 4H and 4L: on the farm having to find a cow giving birth in the...
  17. Disconcerting video - Broken GOAT mode during off roading?

From the looks of the video, you're not wrong lol.
  18. Disconcerting video - Broken GOAT mode during off roading?

Just saying but when you read the words "muddy, rutted, or uneven terrains", do you think of the puddle you played in as a kid or mud the likes of which would need the Bronco to get through? This is something you would use Mud/Ruts for: This is why Terrain modes were a bad idea for the 1st...
  19. Disconcerting video - Broken GOAT mode during off roading?

If I remember right, this driver put the Bronco in Mud/Ruts whilst driving on a loose gravel road. The owners manual clearly states that Mud/Ruts is intended for deep mud, not loose gravel. The absolute most that would have been needed here, in the worst situation would have been 4H. Now I agree...
  20. Disconcerting video - Broken GOAT mode during off roading?

Clearly because he has no earthly clue what the heck he's doing. The Bronco was more than capable of climbing a barely 2% grade incline of loose gravel road with a stray big rock to climb. Very rarely is the vehicle incapable of doing something but is almost always the driver. Just look at the...
