Add me to the list...I ended up with a new Ford Explorer ST last month instead of the 21 Bronco, so you all are moving on up. I needed something now, and couldn't wait any longer. While the badging is not as cool as the Bronco, its ability and its engine is really fun, and it will tow a bit more...
Granted I used our corporate log-in and, never bought a car with it, so I can't validate how much of a pain in the ass it would be to use or if the savings actually translate.
Anytime I bought a new car or truck in the past, I used either our costco account with Toyota, or my grandparents...
The roof issue is significant to us, and knowing what limited interiors were available, it is giving some pause in our household.
We may be holding off until 2022 as well. Or we just buy a base 21' squatch version for 38k and say to hell with the looks and technology, and buy something else...
As much as I want a bronco, and I do. The old faithful of the TRD Pro or even Special Edition 4Runner has perked my interest. Yes, it is older and not as flashy, but hauls more, and w 4 doors has a roof rack....I dunno, I was to be pumped with B and P day, but it has been a fizzle.
This roof rack thing not being built with the Squatch is really agitating me....I had all these ideas and plans of loading up and heading out. Their crash testing with 500 lbs of gear on top must make the squatch tip over or some crap. Otherwise, WTF.
Any real mechanical logical reason why a roof rack rails cannot be added to a 4 door Wildtrak? Center of gravity ? The 4runner has one, and that thing looks top heavy..
