Yep. When your dealer says "drop it off" tell them no. You'll bring it when they can have someone look at it hot. Parking it and waiting until they get to it is pointless.
Yes, I'm very happy with the Lange hoist. It's pricy, but when I considered the time and money I'd have to spend to make something not as good, it made sense.
The only hiccup was that they didn't have the center of gravity right for the 2D. They had to make some mods and send additional...
No. I was trying to work with freedom jack to develop a solution for the 2D Bronco, as I have the HF hoist, a 2D Bronco, and I'm a PE. Owner eventually said it won't work and that was that.
I ended up just buying Lange hoist.
I thought you were suggesting that no wireless charging pad would charge while using CP/AA, excusing Ford's cheapo pad, because charging while using apps is an unreasonable expectation. I see now you're just pointing out that it's an unreasonable expectation for the Bronco charging pad.
I reported this months ago, had it on the list for when they did my warranty MIC top replacement. Explained to the service writer exactly where it was, how I identified it, and that it only does it hot. Pick up the Bronco 4 days later, he says they didn't mess with it because they didn't have...
Dealer just checked mine yesterday and agreed to either replace the boot or the driveshaft depending on parts availability. They either hadn't seen this yet or it wasn't out yet.
They called today and said they have the part.
How is that supposed to work when the vehicle automatically launches Android Auto? I can't even connect to the wifi on my dash cam without extra steps to keep the Bronco from tying up wifi.
And again, GM doesn't seem to have this problem. Stop making excuses for Ford's sorry wireless charging...
Android Auto runs wirelessly just fine in the Sierra. Things are buggy in the Bronco, charging pad or not.
ETA: the handsfree calling worked great when we got it. After Ford pushed the first update my wife says it sounds like crap. With the latest update it doesn't seem to work at all...
Samsung Galaxy gets exceedingly hot and doesn't charge for beans on it as well. I don't use it anymore because it's worthless.
For comparison I have a 2022 Sierra with a wireless charging pad, phone stays perfectly cool and charges quickly.
Flood has pricing on their website. Consider how many miles per year you will drive. Earlier in the thread I posted about the comparisons between time and mileage, the really long terms don't seem to pay off.
I gave my dealer the opportunity to match Flood, they got within $50, so I gave them...
It's been pointed out, but here's how this goes:
Engineering: we designed the 2.7 for the Bronco to hold 7 qts of oil, to account for the steep trail angles they might encounter.
Dealers/customers/etc: Hey these dipsticks read way high if we add 7 qts, what gives?
Engineering: we designed it...
