LOL..this guy. High drama? Really? You get a brand new vehicle you've been waiting for over a X number of months..(some, years)...and you think he is being high drama because scotch tape is ruining a panel on a brand new vehicle? Yeah alright.
I've posted elsewhere, but as a zero day reso holder convert to GT holder, I've all but lost complete interest in the Bronco let alone my supposed forthcoming Raptor. The issue after issue...
For our money and budget, restomods look highly appealing, will have part availability, feel more of...
I feel you. One of the things I have been doing while I wait is look at a Restomod'd original since the pricepoint is roughly the same. I have been awfully tempted to snap a late 60's model with all the upgrades. Simple and authentic...
Just a general comment and observation that I am really surprised at myself that I am even still interested in a Bronco at this point, let alone the Raptor i've "ordered" (which I quote because it won't be real until I see evidence of something other than "Ordering With Dealer" on the Ford...
People have been born and died...countries changed governments...there has even been an olympics event since a lot of us have ordered lol.
OP - After waiting two years (which I also am STILL in this boat), you are showing amazing restraint not going down to the dealership and "snapping" on...
Boy this really polarized me about mine. I was lucky to be a GT holder and have it ordered...but wow. I hope the aftermarket gets right on the flares. I am certain a lawyer designed those flares...and maybe because of that, Ford "knows" folks will change that crap. Just sad you even have to...
So wait how does that work? Again, no intention on my end to flip / bs / etc but how is that legally enforceable?
If I am buying the truck outright...no lein, etc...like im holding the title ONLY in my name? And if its a true "first right of refusal", then all that means is Ford would have to...
Searching through the thread and folks talking about reselling - has anyone found out for sure if Dealers are going to make folks sign some sort of "First Right Of Refusal" doc that makes the dealer first in line if you try and flip it? First of all, is that legal? Secondly..that may slow a lot...
No matter what, I DO think its sh!tty for some Ford dealers to make buyers sign a resell agreement...when they themselves are super willing to throw on an ADM. Again, some..not all. Not putting all bad apples in the bunch.
If a dealer adds $1 more than MSRP, then they should not be allowed to...
If the free market starts getting $200k for a Braptor, even at that point i'd consider selling mine (since im a G.T.H.) because there is a point where stupidity with money comes into play...and although im gonna love my BRaptor..... $200k would easily let me let that go lol
Just want to thank you, Sean, for spending time fielding the questions here. If Ford held all dealers to your level of standard in service and approach, their stock price most most likely get out of the below $20/share doldrums.
The fact that their is such a price differential between what MSRP...
My example - Current Wildtrak 2-Door Hardtop 2.7 Tow Package (Everything to keep mine from being built...I had)
I get this Jan 24:
I clicked "im Interested", although not right away. Was like 8 hours later.
Feb 11, I got this:
Pretty straight forward. I had a pending order in 99 status
I also cannot say enough good things about Sean, Serramonte and the team there handling the Bronco barrage. I am an original July 2020 reservation holder with Serramonte for what (was) a Wildtrak 2-Dr Hardtop 2.7 + tow package (basically, everything that would prevent me from getting one). I was...
(Waves hand)
So glad I got the dealer I got (Serramonte Ford, Colma, California). Again they stood up and said they'd honor MSRP on a Raptor if I converted. Well done, Serramonte...well done
Man I hope not. I think I have my 2nd reservation at that SAME dealer you speak of.....which is the "largest Ford dealer" in the world, located in North Hills. I haven't seen anything and its been a crummy experience so far so we shall see where it goes.
Im sure someone has already said this but just in case: Whether you want what they order you or not, they will get a unit and sell it (for probably more than you were to pay). I agree with your hunch about order conversion, now that Ford has probably processed their purchase orders for material...
