I think it does affect performance and reception a little. I don't use FM that much, so I prefer the stubby aesthetics over the long antenna.

From just quickly testing a few local FM stations, I think there is loss of signal, but it looks better and I don't listen to FM radio that much anyway. Ya, you can add it later as a Dealer Installed Option if you want though, so you're not missing out! LOL 😂
