Iām not taking a business deduction on a Bronco purchase but I didnāt see anything in your attachment that spoke to Model Year.
And of course all of this is down the rabbit hole from the statements in your orginal post regarding why Ford wouldnāt designate the Bronco a 2022 instead of 2021.
It defines an early production 1965 model year Mustang which had some trim differences from later production 1965 Mustangs. There is no Mustang that is titled 1964 1/2. The title on everyone of those vehicles reads exactly the same - 1965.
So a business can claim accelerated depreciation for...
You realize that a 1964 1/2 Mustang is a 1965 right? 1964 1/2 is a informal designation for early production (starting in April 1964) 1965 Mustangs. But sure, certain model years of collectible cars end up being worth more than others (but that works both ways, sometimes itās later models that...
None of that changes one whit whether Ford calls it a 2021 or 2022.
And yes in 3 years if you go to trade your Bronco an identical mile 2022 will be worth more than a 2021. No one adjusts for early or late model year starts. Ask any dealer.
Find sand, insert head. Itās not possible to have final production vehicles on Dealer lots in March based on Fordās publicly released production timing. It has nothing to do with negativity.
This makes no sense as Job 1 has not occurred and they are currently making pre-production units. I donāt think Ford has ever sold preproduction units to end consumers. Likewise, they donāt allow the general public to test drive preproduction units.
The written Q&A @North7 posted doesnāt say anything about the GVWR being related to staying within a certain weight class. Is that just something people are making up on this thread or did they actually say that in the video?
True that, the ability to order a receiver hitch on a body on frame vehicle has always been considered the height of compromise and indicator of an inferior build.
I think youāre the one assuming. I knew the auto transmission was wrong in B&P - go check my posts on the matter from the beginning. It also makes no difference to me - if I buy one I was always getting a manual.
Likewise Iām a first day reservation holder so Fordās sneaky change to the dealer...
Itās a new option on the 4 dr FE only. Itās so powerful you can suck your trailer along instead of using an antiquated receiver hitch. A Ford First!
I have no issues with production being pushed back. I doubt top issues are really caused by COVID but I donāt care one way or the other.
All they had to do to keep me happy was to occasionally communicate clearly and accurately. They failed miserably and their terrible launch performance makes...
Or they could have had an actual communication strategy and been able to proof their B&P before going live.
Pretty much everything they did was self inflicted gunshot wounds related to communication (with the exception of some of the GVWR engineering issues staring to surface now).
I canāt watch it because apparently Ford forgot some people have IOS products. Canāt play it on my phone or iPad. Tried 2 different browsers.
I think I worked harder trying to watch this video than Ford did on the B&P.
Amazing how every other manufacturer selling vehicles in the USA can figure out how to equip their top trim vehicles (read FE) with a tow package if the other trim levels in the line have a tow pack but Ford canāt.
Government meanies!
