I held off on the alternator charger for awhile thinking the same thing. My rear 12v port would heat up the cable which kind of scared me. Not a fan of vehicle fire. My Bluetti battery can take up to 500w input so naturally the Charger 2 input 500w. I also have a 200w solar panel wired in, I...
Finally, installed the Bluetti Charger 2, solar panel, wired up, all seems to be working great. Took her out for a shakedown one night camping trip.
Mounted the Callsun Bifacial 200w solar panel to the top of my FSR Aspen Lite RTT. Used some FSR crossbars made for another tent, modified for my...
I store tools, NOCO jump starter, shovel, ratchet straps, zip ties, extension cord, bungies, under my front seats, always there. RTT always on top for the summer, too hard to take on and off. Heading out on a road trip, 2 or more nights, 12v fridge and Bluetti solar battery (plus other camping...
You left out the "manual transmission scraping noise". I understand not all have the 7mt, but just wanted to mention it. I replaced my first 7mt at about 37k. The noise is not as brutal in my second one, and I'm at about 60k on this one. I have the extended warranty which expires at 125k...
Following-up with my solar battery storage/set-up. 2-dr Black Diamond with rear seat delete, plywood platform with fridge slide on the passenger side.
Installed the side window Rough Country molle panels.
Modified (cut-up) the Turn Offroad front overhead molle panel, and made a shelf for my...

Dang, those were the teenage days, sneaking in passengers and beverage of choice! A speaker that hung on your window that sounded worse than AM radio. Never did see a whole movie start to finish. 80's, best time ever.
96k, brought her in for the "100k maintenance". Replace all fluids - 7mt trans, front/rear diffs, transfer case, coolant flush, oil. Replace spark plugs, tune up. I never noticed how rough it idled until new plugs and tune up. Probably should have done this at 50k or less. Hopefully get...
I was concerned about the "flying out the window" also. So I installed the Rough Country side window molle panels. My molle battery tray will sit inside that, strap it down to the tray (my rear seats have been deleted).
The Rough Country side window molle panels may not fit in there though...
Awesome. Wish my Bluetti was that thin. I will be diy a tray on that side using molle panel and the Rough Country window molle panel (for 2-door) to mount the Bluetti charger 2.
2025 solo 5,000 mile round trip MN to AZ. Highlights were Utah - Canyonlands Schafer trail switchbacks and Grand Staircase-Escalante Burr trail switchbacks.
2024 with my kids Yellowstone and Grand Tetons.
This summer will be round trip MN to Montana - Glacier NP, Beartooth Highway.
What I understand, the D+ cable should be hooked up to a switched (ignition on) fuse under the driver dash (using a multimeter to find a fuse). I'll be using a fuse-tap, a single 18awg wire run to the top pin on the charger 2 connector. The negative pin is not needed since the charger 2 D+...
I decided to go to my passenger side because that's where I have my fridge and battery mounted. I want to do a passenger side molle in the window for the charger 2 but the cable is about a foot short. Thanks.
I had a Bronco Sport before my current Bronco. I always go to the self serve car wash, with the hand wand. Went around washing it up, got in to get more quarters... "why the hell is everything all wet inside"!? I forgot to put up the passenger window.
