  2. 2.3 failures / issues. Post the issues you have had

After a couple thousand miles I thought maybe I heard something, so very faint, on a cold winter morning. I can't really say if it's the same issue. With it warming up here in MN I may have to wait until next winter to listen again. Wish I had a better answer for you.
  3. 2.3 failures / issues. Post the issues you have had

'22 BD 2.3L Manual, 42k miles. Change oil and rotate 5 tires every 5k. Only major issue was the trans scraping/grinding, which was replaced at 37k. They did the wiper software flash at that point too. Other than that I love it, so fun to drive.
  4. Bronco Letters on Eruption Green

I went with Eruption Green (flat).
  5. is catch can needed on 2.3L? (worth the $)

Yes absolutely, I chose this can because it was easy access. Others were set too far back and I would not be able to reach them.
  6. is catch can needed on 2.3L? (worth the $)

I have that same can. Doesn't catch much in the summer months. Winter months catches about a half can every 1000 miles.
  7. Why is off-road lighting so expensive?

I thought prices on lights were crazy and told myself, I don't really need to spend that. Lights were not a priority for my build. That is until I hit a deer, 1 month after getting my Bronco. Lights moved to the top of my list. I buyed-once-cried-once, to light up all areas of the ditches...
  8. Best Fog Light Kit Choice?

I have DD and love them, except I should have went with Pro or Max instead of Sport. I also have a DD 30" light bar on top of the bumper. Baja and Heretic are right up there. Those are the 3 I would consider. Buy-once-cry-once.
  9. Winter Camping in New Roof Top Tent at -1 Temps @ Daniel Boone National Forest

Totally awesome outing, thanks for sharing! Winter camping is definitely on my list to do. I'm considering the NatureNest also but fear it might be too heavy on a 2-dr with stock rack. Sorry if I missed it in your video but what brand/model diesel heater are you running? Any issues getting...
  10. What did you do TO / WITH your Bronco today? 👨🏻‍🔧🧰🚿🛠

Dang, brand new and door alignment issues. :(
  11. 7 pin wiring harness installation?

I ordered the OEM Bronco Brake Controller and 7-pin harness through Ford. Waiting on parts. Will let the Dealer install. Too complicated and too much work for me to diy.
  12. Aftermarket OEM look roof rack?

I have the OEM with the 3rd crossbar from Ford. Have a generic cargo basket full length, carried camping gear cross country. I do not know how much all that weighed but held up fine. Plan is to replace the cargo basket with a roof top tent (under 150 lbs) this spring. Hoping the 3rd crossbar...
  13. Block heater plug, terrible location

I'll have to check my 2022 manual. Thanks.
  14. Block heater plug, terrible location

Dang, didn't know about the 220v outlet. I'm only plugged in for an hour or so. I use a Woods 50016 digital timer for block heaters. https://www.toolboxsupply.com/products/woods-50016-outdoor-24-hour-digital-block-heater-timer-black Description This outdoor timer turns block heaters or other...
  15. What Are Your Winter Road Settings?

From what I understand, TC doesn't let your tires spin. Sometimes you'd like that tire spin to get you going or keep you going. Here in MN, 2 winters (actually no real snow to speak of this year so far), I use 4A when needed. Never used GOAT modes, yet.
  16. Show Us Your Reverse / Rear Chase Lights!

I thought about this also, maybe not that extreme, which leads me to a question. What is a good color for chase lights, during snow, dust, etc. My thoughts, white light for backing up only. Red to match tail lights while driving? Or Yellow which might be more noticeable in snow, dust, etc...
  17. Block heater plug, terrible location

Dealer routed my plug up under the hood on the right side of the air intake (2.3L). Never checked about routing it down below out the front. Have to open the hood every time to use it. It helps remind me to unplug before driving off in the morning. Here in MN it's been about 5-12 degrees F...
  18. What did your Bronco replace?

I had one of the manual transmissions with the grinding/scraping noise. Could only hear it in the winter/colder months. Could hear it in winter of '22 but didn't pay much attention, until this thread came along and it was a widespread issue...
  19. Camping in a Blizzard (Video)

It’s on my bucket list. Did it as a young scout, tents and sleeping bags, no heaters etc. Now, I plan on at least bringing a diesel heater. But I do want to try, will gradually work my way into snow, not necessarily a blizzard, but some snow.
  20. What did your Bronco replace?

Had a 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer manual with 250k miles, was going to drive it until the wheels fell off. Ford announced the Bronco, so I had to have one, and made my reservation. Waited a year, still no Bronco being built, my dad needed a car so I gave him my Lancer. I purchased a Bronco Sport...
