So having my Gladiator for a few weeks now I can make some comparisons to at least my dads 19 Ranger. I haven't gotten to test drive a Bronco, cause local dealer wont let anyone drive their mannequin. The ranger is close enough for me to make this comparison.
The ranger is a 19 Ranger XLT FX4...
My Gladiator Willys EcoDiesel in Gecko Green gets here between the 19th-28th. I ordered it 8/11/21.
Gets the same gas mileage as my WRX did but with fuel that is 40c/gallon cheaper.
With how the bronco launch has been the only ford I'm mildly interested in now is the Base no options Maverick.
i mean 35's fit on stock 4 door wranglers and gladiators. and a 2" mopar lift is $1500 that keeps factory warranty.
Also you shouldnt be paying msrp for a jeep, there are plenty of dealers doing 5-7% under invoice
you have to remember the 3.6 gladiator makes 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque at the crank in a 4600-5000lb truck.
The diesel makes 260hp and 442ftlbs of torque.
my issue with the 4xe is the gas mileage, the diesel will get 30mpg highway, the 4xe will maybe get 20 combined. The 4xe at least qualifies for the full $7500 federal Tax credit and dealers are selling for 6-7% below invoice as well. You can also get one by December.
So that 64k msrp is about...
