You’re probably right, what I could see in the picture looked like a couple #12 bolts that were screwed into plastic. That compressor weighs what, 15-20 pounds.
At 45 mph a head on collision would generate between 7700-10000 pound feet of energy in that compressor. What I’m asking, is that...
How well is that bracket secured to the roll bar. I would hate to have that compressor flying towards the back of my head if I ended up in a collision. I really like that location and would like to do the same thing
10-4. That’s good to know. I’m trying to use as much of the factory wiring as possible. For now just replacing the factory speakers and use forscan to flatten eq and make sub wires active. Maybe later do the key 200.4.
I just found this thread and will be installing a kicker key 500.1 and was hoping to use the factory delete signal wire for input. Did i understand you could not get signal to your LC7
If all of that is necessary to be legal in your jurisdiction your local DA is going to try to hang you wether you were within your rights or not. Be careful defending yourself it may be more trouble than it’s worth. Maybe some good running shoes.
How did it make it past you for two weeks. When I buy a new car I practically sleep with it like a new baby taking in every little nuance. Not saying I would have noticed it either but if it took me two weeks I would probably keep it between me and my service writer.
