That should look good. I didn’t want to spray my sliders because after every offroad trip I spray paint any scrapes. While bedliner will hold up to a lot, it won’t hold up to the whole weight of the bronco scraping across a rock. I am planning on spraying my fender deletes though. I have the...
I sprayed raptor liner on my rockers when I switched rock sliders again. Been on there for a long time now and holding up. But that’s what I expected, I’ve sprayed all kinds of stuff with raptor liner over the years. Holds up very well, and can be fairly smooth depending how you spray it.
Yes, it will work with all the stock skid plates. I ended up switching the front skid to theirs because it’s better, but still have the other stock ones.
Somehow I didn’t see this reply before. But here’s a pic. And there aren’t specific hi lift points on this bumper but my frame mounted sliders provide that for me.
Ive definitely tested this hefty bumper. Pushed a small tree over with the front corner. And the front skid plate is all scraped up from rock crawling.
Hefty Fabworks. I have the 2.7 and lux, and everything still works fine. Had the bumper on there a while now with daily driving and some offroad trips.
I still haven’t installed it, but hopefully will within the next few days. I realized the size torx bit I needed was the size I broke from my kit. Just bought a new one yesterday.
And they should definitely include it as part of the kit. Kind of necessary.
The hefty fabworks bumper is high quality. Skid plate is nice too because it gives more clearance over stock. Planning on buying the rear also, but I’ve been focusing on other projects lately.
I ended up ordering it later on, just had to wait for it to come back in stock. Someone I didn’t notice that back when I ordered the tire carrier. And mine will go well past 90, just not as far as before.
No. Had the stock badlands ones at first that I got rid of quickly. Then I grabbed rockslide engineering steps and that was a huge mistake. They held up to rockcrawling fine but were an electrical nightmare. After 6 circuit boards in the passenger step they finally agreed to a refund. Then came...
Lifting the bronco offroad. The lod sliders make a very secure point to jack up the bronco from. Floor jacks are useless in a lot of the uneven rock crawling terrain we frequent.
Just wanted to post a pic of it “finished.” Ended up modifying the antenna mounts to get them onto the hi lift mount. Closer to where I had them mounted before since I didn’t like the position way out on the hinges. Also tack welded the studs to the back of the carrier.
It makes me wonder why mine is so close to the body. Maybe they have made revisions as they keep building them. Had it in the garage for over a month til I had a chance to install it.
As far as the hardware it’s the bolts and wing nuts that hold on the jack itself. The wing nuts being nylocks...
I just installed my carrier and really like it but have a few complaints. Does yours hit the body at the hinge area if you open the tailgate all the way (I noticed before I actually hit the body). I ditched those lug nuts. Never been a fan of them and since they didn’t come with the special...
