It’s a drag for sure but still doesn’t make it worth it to me to pay for a hardtop I don’t like. I’d rather hold out for a white top or some other one I like better and take my chances.
Yes I ordered standard BL 4dr soft top 2.3 MT CacG standard wheels no mid. For me it was between that and the basesquatch but my desire for the MT and to start out with the 33s outweighed my preference for the 2.7. I’m 56 and have never owned a vehicle with an auto trans so I guess I’ll keep...
It looks like I fall in this boat. Even though I’ve never owned an automatic and was feeling that I might regret not getting the MT, I had pretty much decided on the 2.7 for a 4 dr non-sas BL. Now to save $3,500 I’ve changed my mind and am planning on the 2.3/MT. And I feel pretty good about it!
My 4 dr basesquatch build comes to 44K and my 4dr nonsquatch badlands is at 48K. Both have the 2.7 and I’ve added bumper, rock rails and floor liners to the base. I still think the base is the better deal but am leaning toward the BL because of a lot of the stuff you mention plus I would rather...
I’m right there with you brocotect. I think that’s the build with the most capability for the buck and is in the running for me. As someone else posted tho, there are so many factors that weigh more or less for each of us. I’m undecided too.
I’m not sure about a lot of that. I believe the difference in travel is only 10 ml (less than 1/2 inch) so don’t see it as a big deal (and I guess you could remove the bump stops after you got the 33s if you really cared). And I’m pretty sure the Sasquatch package comes with both the upgraded...
Sorry if this has been asked and answered (or is obvious!) but do you need the steel bumper to get a factory bash plate or is that a separate stand alone option?
Wow. I think that’s the best looking bronco I’ve seen. And the best version of Area 51 for sure. Even the soft top looks good with the black wheels.
Agree that’s more important. But I would be surprised if there weren’t affordable after market options for at least easier/quicker manual disconnect. I know it may be more complicated for IFS, but there are many cheap aftermarket options for the wrangler.
What about 2dr vs. 4dr? If I were getting a 2dr I’d be more Inclined to go 2.3 and MT and 33s (I’ve never owned an auto!). But with the added weight of a 4dr I’ve been thinking the 2.7 is more necessary. And I’m thinking baseSquatch with a 4dr so 35s too.
