Finally got my Badlands home! My dealership sent a guy on an 8-hour round trip to Dearborn Michigan to get the airbag because they felt bad it sat at the dealership for over a month with no end in sight!

Is it still possible to get stickers? I had Covid, so I was out of it for awhile. Finally got my airbag replaced, and picking up my Badlands on Saturday!

Mine is still sitting at the dealership because the airbag parts are on back order, so I‘ll be doing the same. Hopefully you won’t have to wait for your fix after it comes off Dirt Mountain.

Happy for you, but jealous yours got fixed so fast! Mine made it out of Dirt Mountain before yours, but still hasn’t been fixed. Whenever you see a 2-door Velocity Blue Badlands up around CLE, give us a wave! It will probably be my husband driving, but I’ll wave back!

New builds have airbags available, they were just screwing over the people who were part of the recall as well as were stuck on Dirt Mountain. We're in a special sort of purgatory. Soft tops that were released before the recall are still in owner's possession, and Broncos built after August...

Make sure to call your dealership to keep them on top of this. Mine had no clue as far as the update to the recall, so it isn't safe to assume all dealerships are aware.

I have been all of these at one point or another, but my patience is gone after my BAdlands was delivered to the dealership on 11/30 after 3 months on Dirt Mountain but has to sit there until God-knows-when due to the airbag recall.

But that would make sense, so they aren't likely to do it :rolleyes:. Mine didn't make it off DM until 11/21, yet they still shipped it to the dealership without replacing the airbag. At that point, why send it at all? I'm living in fear that they'll raise the interest rates while our vehicles...

It doesn't make sense, does it? Mine shipped the 29th, arrived at my dealer the 30th, and there it will stay until Ford labels it a proper recall. They won't release it because it is part of a recall, yet the dealers can't repair them because it isn't really a recall yet...

Yeah, big whoop. Mine was shipped, and I can go look at it in my dealer's lot, but that's it until the airbag gets replaced.

I feel so special 😒. Anybody's dealer hook them up with some swag or points or something? My salesman feels bad, but I still get more info from this group than what he gets from Ford.

@CO-Bronco , is there a tracker for Airbag Purgatory? My Badlands arrived at the dealer, but it has to stay in their lot until whenever Ford decides to authorize a full recall on the airbags. They can't repair it until Ford does that, and can't release it until they repair it. So out of Dirt...
