I'm with swooshdave on this. Just about guaranteed that whoever drilled it was pressing into it pretty hard and the bit dented the skin below when the bit pushed through the hole. I doubt the screw even comes near the skin of the tailgate.
Just transferred our reservation from a local dealer to Tom today. He has been informative, quick to respond, and helpful. I sent him an email asking to place the order and got a confirmation from Ford within about 30 minutes! This is how it should be! Thank you!
@HoosierDaddy , saw that in another thread a while back but I'd like to see how they hold up out on the trails! Big unknown for me right now. I've got a pretty good idea of what a D44 can withstand. I don't anticipate being the guinea pig though. Maybe in a few years when they can be found...
I saw that but would try to source used after a few year$. New would get expensive in a hurry. Was thinking about it last night and base sasquatch out of the gate would be the best choice.
I've got a base reserved myself. Thinking strongly about sasquatch and let it ride. I don't plan on tires larger than 35's and I won't be flogging it like the trail rig. For 37's and skinny pedal, I have my fears about a D44 rear axle. I have no idea on the 210 front diff and cv's. I really...
I'm sure they will. Pound for pound it will be a good axle. Dollar for dollar, maybe not. I guess it depends on what you plan on doing with it, but I'd take a full floating D60 over a semi floating 9" for crawling. I'd much rather have the wheel stay on the vehicle if an axle shaft breaks.
I think they remove the exhaust entirely. Pretty sure there is a direct correlation between the amount a truck is squatted and the amount of inbreeding that has taken place.
There were between 500-600 Baja Broncos made between 71-75. They are bringing big money now. There were maybe 75 or so Denver Broncos made in 75. They were actually supposed to be shipped to Stroppe but he closed shop unexpectedly in 1975, or so the story goes.
I really want to know if the Sasquatch package will get the cutting brakes and the other trail features with the 2.7 and auto. I don't care about the goat modes or advanced transfer case bit it looks like that is required for the lower T-case gearing. Planning on a 2dr base Sasquatch with the...
I don't understand all the talk about factory warranties. It's a bumper. I'm a base model guy and will not be getting the upgrade. I don't like the extra $300 for the upper hoop and the addition for the winch, which will likely require a winch plate and probably other stuff. Already have a...
If you can't afford a $500 deposit, you shouldn't even be considering a 30k plus vehicle, even if you are somehow able to secure financing. Sheesh!
I have no problem putting a (refundable) deposit down for an order. I can totally see the production schedule going off the rails, given our...
I fully suspect that Maxlider and others will offer an expensive DIY SAS mall crawler kit down the road. For wheelers, a D44 rear is by no means a stout axle. I have no idea on the front diff. I'm sure you'll see build threads with one ton swaps and more. I'm thinking a base Sasquatch for us...
