Everything looks better with those BFG KO2s... If they were a larger company and could supply the entire Bronco range, I'm sure they would have been chosen as the standard tire.
Not the same, I know, but just sat in a Ranger SuperCrew, since it has the same frame. I'm 6'5, 270. It's basically the same as my JLUR, but no one is going to be buying it because there's "so much more room" than a Wrangler. Other factors will have to come into play.
Just for kicks, I went...
I have KO2’s on my 2018 Rubicon (excellent performers), but when it comes to replacing tires, keep in mind with KO2s – if it’s C-rated, as OEM sizes usually are to save weight, KO2s have 2-ply sidewalls, meaning they really aren’t designed for technical off-roading. Even the new F150 Raptor...
Maybe this has already been answered, but has there been any indication that the doors can be stored in the cargo area WITH a soft top on? All the pics I have seen show the doors in back without a hard or soft top.
If it can't be done with either top installed, it seems to really limit its value.
The fact is this: Ford was happy with the 3.5 on the Raptor, with good reason. However, they responded when the competition upped their game.
I certainly hope so. If the competition is a big V8, you better go with a bigger V8.
V8 vs twin turbo 6 with equal output? In the long term, V8 will...
I saw that too; they were stomping around with the prototype. I have a feeling the 6.4 will get better mileage than that with cylinder deactivation in the production version. Even the much heavier Power Wagon (which is a 3/4 ton pickup) gets around 13mpg.
I own a current generation Wrangler, and I owned the previous one as well. The Bronco is very comparable in size. 35" aftermarket tires on the Wrangler look perfect - not too big, not too small. I'm sure it will be the same on the Bronco.
Bronco deserves a powerful V8 if the competition has it. Just like the 3.5 is no longer the top F150 Raptor motor after Ram came out with a V8 competitor. Current rumors indicate the 5.2 supercharged V8.
I know there is nothing official... But if the top-of-the-line Jeep has a 6.4, Ford better be seriously considering a V8.
Official Jeep Instagram account: "Production model shown. Available 2021."
Graphic from survey video says it all. If I'm spending $40k-60k on a new vehicle, I would be happy to pay an EPA fee. My independent mechanic agrees with the official Ford technicians.
I won't be buying a Bronco until normally aspirated V8 is available.
If Ford is following this board... Please reconsider having a V8 option... Even your own mechanics know what choice to make!
No need to watch the link, just look at the tally in the attached graphic.
Ask anyone with a vehicle where a V8 is an option, if it's reasonably priced, they get the V8. No one ever regrets it. Jeep Grand Cherokee has one as an option, and they're working on a Wrangler with one.
Eco-boost is such a compromise on a vehicle that shouldn't be compromised.
I'll stick...
When are they going to show a 100% accurate, orderable production Bronco? This is getting tiresome. Those tires aren't available, this color combo isn't available, blah, blah... Cocktease.
