Well, I was finally able to pick up my 2 Dr base manual from Stephen's last week. The delivery process was great, but this write up is after spending 5 days and 1800 miles in my Bronco. Note this is not organized and are just my thoughts. I should point out, that much of what I will say are...
I just picked up my Bronco, April 18 build and I lucked out with the new transmission.
Almost 1800 miles so far and no noticeable noise. Coldest days were a couple of mornings in the 50's now it won't see below 70 for a while.
It's been a while since I did the trail ride and test drive, but...
I just returned from my trip to pick up my Bronco from Stephen's. Another great experience as everyone else has had. My Bronco was sitting up front and only a few short bits of paper work and making sure my Ford pass was working then we were off.
I was a lucky one and all my price protection...
I just received an email that says "Your Ford Bronco SUV just rolled off the assembly line"
That would be exciting news, but it's been at Stephens for 2 weeks already! Just a bit late on the notification :)
Mine is now showing up on the Stephens site! Hopefully that means it will be on it's way soon.
Also, I called Ford today to again confirm my price protection certificate and she told me it was extended to 5 July with the same certificate number. They then sent me a $100 gift card to use for...
Excellent. Ours might be there at the same time! Will have to figure out dates when I can actually make it there as I have a couple of trips for work coming up that might pull me away for a few days!
Got my "email last night". Mine says Built 4/18 and the delivery window was just updated to be between 4/18 - 4/24... but no shipped message yet, maybe they're loading up truckloads, if you look at the Stephens site, it's populating full of Broncos!
I haven't looked into that yet, but I would be interested if anyone is doing any other mods or swaps when they pick up, I would be interested in getting a set of wheels if someone is taking them off, a stock set of Badlands? Would save me the hassle of doing it when I get home :)
I had a Gladiator Willys for a little over 6 months. Driving on the highway was torturous! It wondered, it was loud, lots of corrections, Going above 70 was tiring, at least I didn't get any speeding tickets in the thing. My previous JL Sport Wrangler wasn't so bad.
