The TL;DR here is the $195 aux switch option is an absolute steal. If my Badlands hadn't come with it, I would have checked that box. Just having the switches was probably enough, but once I heard it included the pre-wiring to various points on the vehicle, I was sold.
To date, after nearly a year and a-half of ownership, I've had one problem and one recall. The problem was the hood latch issue where the car would report the latch not being secure and on a couple of occasions, the alarm would be set off. That was fixed under warranty by the dealer at the same...
I've never heard it called that before. Congratulations on being able to do that. I know I am not blessed enough to have that problem, but the flip side is I can avoid that painful situation. đź’€
This, this and this. :) What is the point of making new cars if they aren't going to be better? They should be more reliable, more convenient, and be able to handle simple and mundane tasks like this. The only time I mess with my lights is when I cycle them off-and-on several times in a row to...
The auto-high beams on my Bronco definitely rise up to high beam and fall back to low beam. It does it so well that I didn't realize the Bronco was activating high beams at first. Then I paid attention and saw that gradual increase in brightness rather than the instant flash.
I guess there's...
That option isn't ideal, given the difference between Raptor GOAT modes and the target vehicle's GOAT modes. In my case, I would lose the ability to see when I'm in Eco or Mud/Ruts. At $2,600, I would want a more seamless experience. Not blaming Panda, I get it's just a by-product of trying to...
At one point, there was supposed to be a "High Level Instrument Panel." I can't recall if it was to come with Badlands and higher trims or the Lux package, but I do remember seeing that in the build and price and wondering exactly what that meant.
An early rendering of the IP suggests designers...
I had seen at least one thread where someone was in the process of Frankensteining a Raptor IP into a regular Bronco. I recall the part price was pretty steep, but the unknown of what would actually work, plus I think there were some Raptor-to-non-Raptor translation oddities IIRC. That would be...
In theory, Ford could offer a full-digital drop-in upgrade kit with a software update. Sure, it would probably be too expensive and the take rate wouldn't justify the effort, but a guy can dream.
The digital speedo instead of a digital "analog" tach befuddles me. When Ford knew we were no longer going to get the premium instrument panel, why didn't they just create a useful analog-style tach where the digital speedo is?
BTW, I always assumed the speedo was on the left because it was...
Look at this 60th anniversary Mustang instrument cluster (all digital) that Ford is providing to Mustang owners (for free!) as an over-the-air update:
Wouldn't it be awesome if Ford offered something like that for us Bronco people?
Of course, some of the accessory gauges would need to go on...
When I drove a manual transmission in the UK, the hardest part was getting over my expectation that the transmission would be mirrored as well. First gear was to the far left. I never got to speed-shifting quickness and definitely prefer shifting with my right hand. Shifting with the right hand...
