  1. 2023 vs 2024 2.3L engine note

    I’m surprised people think a 2.3 4-cyl or a 2.7 v6 sounds like that. 🙂
  2. 2023 vs 2024 2.3L engine note

I suspected that. I may be in the minority, but I'm looking for a way to shut that off in my V6 Bronco.
  3. From a local shop

My momma said, "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all." So, I like that it's a two-door.
  4. Cheap interior, build quality for $70k

Except if farmers and ranchers were the only customers, the trucks would cost a lot more or wouldn't be made at all. Vehicles are expensive enough these days--it's hard for most people to justify spending a small fortune on a one-trick pony. They've got to be able to perform more than one function.
  5. Cheap interior, build quality for $70k

I don't think the parts quality is bad in these Broncos. The choice of finish materials is a trade-off between form and function: for an interior to be washout ready, some compromises on materials need to be made. That said, I think you are the first person to have mentioned a problem like...
  6. Portable electric impact driver - Who carries one ?

Those three brands you mentioned are nearly equal in quality and reliability, but they are all quite a bit better than several other brands. I would just add that unless someone has already mistakenly heavily invested in a different brand than those, maybe it's time to start the transition. :)
  7. Portable electric impact driver - Who carries one ?

I have two sets of wheels and tires--my "street" shoes (in the profile pic) and the KO2s that came with the Bronco. I run the white wheels for the Heritage look and keep a less-expensive set of Wrangler ATs on them to save wear-and-tear on the KO2s for actual off-roading. Once I committed to...
  8. How to install & program a keyless entry keypad on your Bronco

OK, just as long as nobody sees you put it in there or knows it's there. The keypad is just a 7 minute delay from someone being able to drive off with your Bronco since the key is inside.
  9. How to install & program a keyless entry keypad on your Bronco

The keypads are nice when you want to get into the vehicle but don't happen to have a key at the time, but aren't you still carrying a key if you actually need to drive anywhere?
  10. How to install & program a keyless entry keypad on your Bronco

Ford gives the dealers a labor rate of $120/hour. It's a shame there are dealers that don't think that's good enough, especially considering Ford allows a pretty generous amount of time for the work. The keypad, for example, is allowed 20 minutes.
  11. What information does the Ford Bronco send to your insurance company, or others

Since lxr revived this  You have to enable Sync to listen for a "wake word" in Settings->Ford Assistant->Listen for Wake Word. I'm not sure if it's enabled by default, as I went through all of the settings very soon after I took delivery and if it was active then, I would have shut it...
  12. How to install & program a keyless entry keypad on your Bronco

When you order a part online and choose to include installation, you will be given a list of nearby dealers from which to choose where you will have the part installed. If a dealer is listed, it will honor the installation price.
  13. How to install & program a keyless entry keypad on your Bronco

Our '04 F150 had the chunky buttons. Our '14 Escape had the sleek hidden capacitive touch pad as above. I thought we had graduated from chunky buttons until I saw the Bronco keypad. I didn't order it because I didn't want it stuck on the door and I wasn't sure if that was something the dealer...
  14. My wife made the mistake of saying "those look pretty cool"

I'll bet you're wondering what she upgraded to! đź’€
  15. My wife made the mistake of saying "those look pretty cool"

Oh, you can create a long list without even getting to suspension or performance mods! Maybe you want some nice rubber mats, a cargo area mat, seat back covers, center console and/or glove compartment organizers? Grab handles for above the doors (forget the paracord ones, go for the nice...
  16. My wife made the mistake of saying "those look pretty cool"

The Goodyears (on Sasquatch and Wildtrack) are known to throw rocks. My KO2s don't. I just got front flaps for off-roading. Some have said the Goodyears stop flicking rocks by 10K miles.
  17. My wife made the mistake of saying "those look pretty cool"

Enjoy your Bronco! Did you save money in your budget for all the add-ons and customizations that you're going to want to do?
  18. how does 2-door Bronco handle high winds?

Our road trip home from picking up the Bronco included a helluva snowstorm coming across South Dakota. We could feel and hear severe crosswinds, but it really didn't feel much different than driving another SUV. Maybe the weight help keep it planted, but no unusual course corrections were...
  19. Coming soon: Armorlite replacement flooring for 2dr and 4dr Bronco

I wouldn't get the tan myself, but had to give you the thumbs-up for being willing to try to make something work for those who would. As a proper Bronco owner (i.e., two-door), I've noticed accessories aren't always made for my vehicle because it's not the majority of the market.
