I 100% agree with your logic, I just plan on getting the manual. I've driven the 2.7 in stock form in an F-150 and it seems to have plenty of power. Just a tune to that and 392 Wrangler owners will be pissed when they bought a gas guzzling V8 that is getting smoked in every aspect by a V6.
With how well ceramic coating or graphene works these days, you need some pretty good pressure from something to get scratches in the paint. My Bronco will spend most of its time on the street so no worries here getting AMB.
I would happily do 37's but I also don't plan to daily my Bronco. I got rid of my 2006 F-250 CCLB last year (didn't need the purpose of that truck anymore) and that sat perfect IMO. 4.5" lift on 35's. I know climbing into your truck isn't everyones cup of tea though.
I'm thinking get the 2.3L now and if it blows up down the road then swap in a built 2.3L and get around that 500HP mark without worry. Maybe that will cost more then $3500 but I will have peace of mind beating on it.
You're also talking about a diesel which has significantly more torque then a gas motor. I do believe the 2.3 will be enough, especially after some upgrades and a tune but I can't compare a diesel to a gasser.
I also think you believe everyone is going to leave their Bronco in the garage when not in use and it's always perfect weather. Just like Wranglers, people will use these as every day drivers. I still want mine to look good with the top on or off.
For these exact reasons is why I'll be waiting a couple years no matter what. I'll never buy a first year model because tweaks need to be worked out and theres always some options that are added down the road first year models don't have ( and I'm talking about a next gen model of something)...
Usually the wrap goes just inside enough for the wrap to not just start pealing away from an edge. There's really no way to wrap a complete interior like the door jams and everything. That's why complete paint jobs cost so much. Everything has to be taken off, painted, and then reassembled. When...
I have the same thought on black being the canvas because then when the doors are removed the frame inside will be black and then my wrap won't matter what design I decide to do.
Your experience with the 2.7 is why I'm okay with the 2.3. I've read good things on it and hopefully bolt ons and a tune can get me around the mid 300 wheel hp mark and I think that could be a reliable mark to hit and make a fun driving truck at the same time.
