  1. Definition of mixed emotions....

If that's what it looks like, I'm just buying another Jeep. RIP the Bronco
  2. 2020 Ford Bronco Concept Rendering

The article says it's a render inspired by a mix of the the Troller (which has been rumored anyway) and the 2004 Bronco concept. I think it looks pretty good. Definitely not the worst of the all the possible looks various pitches have offered up.
  3. 2020 Ford Bronco Concept Rendering

Check out this rendering from another site. I like this one a lot but still not as much as the render from this site. http://en.brinkwire.com/116807/next-ford-bronco-this-has-to-be-it/
  4. Spy Shots

This body style definitely indicates a tendency for more square forms, which I am definitely happy to see.
  5. Fingers crossed

Thank god. That hideous contraption was a Hyundai, not the Bronco. They had me worried.

  7. Possible new info at Detroit?

Since Ford has already unwrapped the new Ranger ( https://www.caranddriver.com/news/ford-ranger-returns-for-2019-news ), do you think there is a prayer's chance in hell that maybe, just maybe, they might be saving the main stage at the Detroit Auto Show to give us something more tangible on the...
  8. 2020-2021 Ford Bronco Four-Door Concept Rendering

I, frankly, don't care all that much how many doors it has, as long as the body lines are right. I would kill to see one teaser of a rectangular body silhouette or a slogan like "dare to be square".
  9. Price of 2020 Bronco

Most estimates that we've heard so far have it starting around $30,000. As far as the release goes, that's not public knowledge yet.
  10. Rumors: New Bronco to resemble Troller and powered by EcoBoost V6

Very true about the engine options. I wonder how the curb weights are going to compare to previous generations, though.
  11. Ford files patent on autonomous system for off-road vehicles

That sounds kind of cool, actually. Except for hardcore, (crazy/stupid) offroaders. I could it see it now: computer: "Do not pass" me: "Nah, I got this" .......Later, after I break something: (in my head): "maybe I should have listened"
  12. TAKE MY MONEY

And if the new one looks pretty close to the renders from this site, I'll be ok with that.... I just meant that as an original Bronco, I'm absolutely in love with that green machine.
  13. Most Important Bronco Design Features?

The most important thing I want is overbuilt suspension and chassis. I want to be able to beat on it and not worry about it being delicate. I would at least like 33'' tires, and removable doors would make it heaven on earth for me. Of course, it has to be 4x4. I used to be a die-hard V8 guy, but...
  14. TAKE MY MONEY

I'd sell both kidneys for this one from Sema
  15. Status?

Last I heard, an anonymous Ford engineer said the design process was gridlocked AGAIN, so they were going to have to start over for a third attempt. Has anyone heard any progress updates? It would be nice to know if it's moving forward yet or not.
  16. If it disappoints, what will you drive?

My wife and I will probably start trying for a kid or two in the next few years, and we have two dogs, so I'm really thinking we're going to want an suv. A used Toyota 4Runner TRD might be my most preferred alternative, but I'd look at options like a used 2014 FJ Trail Team Ultimate Edition or...
  17. If it disappoints, what will you drive?

I'm admittedly a fanboy for the revival of the Bronco. I love bringing back the old nameplates, and the current generation of vehicles is sadly lacking rugged, all-terrain oriented options. I'll curse the powers that be if the new Bronco disappoints, but I will probably have worn out my Ranger...
  18. Re: Removable Tops, ya' know, when you think about it....

Shit, I used to take the doors off almost daily, year-round. Personally, I enjoyed hanging a foot out of the door and feeling the wind more than I cared about the sun shining in through the roof. Taking the top down was hit or miss for me. It depended on how motivated I felt, lol.
  19. Re: Removable Tops, ya' know, when you think about it....

I never had a Bronco, but I always had the top down and doors off of my Jeep. A couple panels off the roof would be fine with me. What I really care about is the doors. I would be in heaven if they made the doors relatively easy to remove. Wishful thinking, I'm sure.
