OP from the prior dropped valve thread. Sorry to hear this happened to you and hope they get you back on the road quickly! Let me know if there's anything I can do to help your situation.
My new engine has about 1300 miles on it, no issues so far. Replacement engine took only a few days to be...
Want to buy the the end caps off your HD Modular Front bumper from your Black Diamond or Badlands. Would also consider purchasing the entire bumper.

For what it’s worth, I did air down to 13psi in all tires while riding the dunes. Back up to 39psi for the trip home. Airing down (or not) shouldn’t have any impact on the engines ability to run though.
Yeah, I’m not looking for an apology from the dealer. To be fair, the dealer got a fubar’d Bronco towed to their lot in the middle of the night. I imagine there was a bit of chaos the next morning until they spoke to the dealer I purchased from and I’m sure they would probably have rather not...
Sounds like loaners are pretty hard to come by right now. The dealer it was towed to didn’t have any, recommended I call the purchasing dealership. They didn’t have any on hand either but were able to find me something. Might be a fiesta but at this point just happy to hear I’ll have the Bronco...
Should be pretty quick, engine is being overnighted to dealer so should have it sometime next week.
Kudos to the Ford engineering team because it sounded like once the hotline case was opened, Ford made it a priority to investigate and determine resolution.
Update 7/29
Ford engineer came to the dealership to investigate, found cylinder 6 had a dropped valve, which caused the engine to seize up. The engine will be completely replaced under warranty. Ford will be taking the old engine back to Dearborn for further investigation into the root cause but...
Agreed, and I still have some hope that's the case! Just going by the information I received from the dealer. For what it's worth they did not definitively state that was the issue, just that it was the current indication based on what their tech saw while performing diagnosis. I also know that...
I honestly agree with you. Still holding out to hear what Ford engineers say but with only one instance I don't think it's fair yet to label this as some sort of systemic issue. If I was watching this thread as a reservation-holder, I wouldn't change or cancel my order based on this alone.
Spoke with the dealer today, current indication is that the engine actually seized up. I'm not exactly sure how that relates to the ABS/AdvanceTrac/Trailer Brake system warnings, but I guess that does explain why the engine would not turn over. Being a brand new vehicle, dealer opened a hotline...
I really hope it doesn’t need to come to that. FWIW, the dealer I purchased from has been fantastic thoroughout the entire process and I’d like to give the dealer doing the service time to investigate and resolve.
What makes you say that? The different goat modes are accompanied by unique color schemes and bronco logo in the top left of the screen. Blue with the bronco is normal mode. Sand mode is sand colored with a different icon in the top left.
Yes, I have the factory trailer towing package. Haven't towed anything yet. That would be interesting though because as you've mentioned we've seen a few ABS/Service Advancetrac errors pop up over the last few weeks.
The yellow check engine light came on about 5 seconds or so before the trailer brake fault and loss of power from engine. Will definitely keep this thread updated as I hear more.
