The front mudflaps do attach to the flares with two plastic retainers.
Yes, the flaps fit behind the rear crashbar. You could remove the flares, but the flaps would loose some of their mounting integrity.
It's hard for me to justify a 15K markup, when essentially that's what I put down plus equity on my trade in.
