As for rodent damage-my wife’s previous Escape wiring harness got damaged somehow by mice and she operated it almost everyday! The dealership sent photos and video of the damage when it happened. Thankfully nothing serious happened.

The issue is the vast majority people are just concerned about the image and not what actually the vehicle is capable of doing. Same shit with Mustang owners with Ecoboost vs GT owners and so on. They want to feel superior to others because of their vehicle choice and this is an affront to that.
