  1. Is Nokian telling me the nAT is a not meant for the summer?

The typical break point for true winter tires is 45f. Typical tire compounds start getting harder as it gets colder, winter compounds get softer above 45. I "think" they are trying to say (poorly) that these tires are designed for above and below that 45f point. Would definitely think you...
  2. Wifi connection to a Viofo A139 pro dashcam

Yeah, the only way I have found is to disable the wireless connections to the Bronco, then you can connect to the dashcam. I rarely connect to my dashcam though, typically just pull the card and download it my PC if there's anything interesting. Keep a pretty big card in there so I have a...
  3. Flat towing gone wrong!

The reason I rigged a camera on the back of my camper so I can keep an eye on the toad.
  4. "Restart Now or Key is Needed" message on shutdown

Nope, no known outside source of interference. Baffled by why it does it AFTER I shut the engine down.
  5. "Restart Now or Key is Needed" message on shutdown

Nothing on FordPass. This is when I'm in the vehicle and just hit the button to stop the engine which is so weird. Nothing seems consistent with location, it happens at home, at misc parking spots, etc
  6. "Restart Now or Key is Needed" message on shutdown

Anyone else get this message AFTER turning the engine off? I've gotten it occasionally while running, but seem to get it more often when I have just shut it down. I've gotten to the point I just ignore it but really don't want to be stuck somewhere.
  7. Do the Auto High Beams Gradually Increase to Bright?

Yep, plus they don't come on under ~30mph. They shut down as soon as you can see tail lights and/or headlights
  8. Muddy water fording alternator issue fix: TSB 22-2392 -- Mud Accumulation in Generator

Is this a 2.3? There aren't any idlers for the alternator on the 2.7, it uses a stretch belt. Guess the crank pulley and other systems could have been damaged, but that's way more than what the TSB would cover
  9. Muddy water fording alternator issue fix: TSB 22-2392 -- Mud Accumulation in Generator

yeah, I couldn't find a belt so had to take it off and reuse. That was one of the biggest hassles.
  10. Muddy water fording alternator issue fix: TSB 22-2392 -- Mud Accumulation in Generator

not sure how you got twigs inside of the housing, but bet you had fun doing it . When I had mine fail (and ended up fixing it myself), the problem was the brushes got fouled and hung up so they didn't make contact with the shaft. I had to take the alternator apart and washed everything...
  11. Go Rhino E1 Electric Running Boards - Panda Motorworks

Thanks, I understand they cover the pinch weld, I was asking how far do they hang below it when stowed. " i.e how much clearance is lost?"
  12. Go Rhino E1 Electric Running Boards - Panda Motorworks

When stowed, how far do they hang down below the pinch weld? i.e. how much clearance is lost?
  13. Iceland Bronco count

Just got back from a trip to Iceland (highly recommend). Didn't really expect to see any there, but there were a couple. All were in town or on the highway. There really isn't off roading there, they are hard core about staying on established roads and tracks. Wintertime and on glaciers is...
  14. No key detected issue? Anyone else?

Starting to get this intermittently. '22 Badlands, high package. It will do it right after I get in and start it, so keyfob not going to sleep. Has done it with keyfob in console and in my pocket. Has done it as I shut it off and got a message to restart or get my keyfob which makes no sense.
  15. Broncos Take Over Tigerton WI, Part 2: Bronco Mud Pit Mayhem

Wow, I go through a some rain puddles in Moab and I get to learn how to R&R and clean mine in a AirBNB garage. You never know
  16. Broncos Take Over Tigerton WI, Part 2: Bronco Mud Pit Mayhem

And the tally of alternators is...
  17. Northwest Overland Rally (NWOR)

Yep, will be there. Leading the Chumstick trail rides on Friday and Saturday, not in the Bronco though. @Mikerider is leading the Liberty Area trail ride on Thursday with his very nicely set up Badlands. https://compass-offroad.com/northwest-overland-rally-nwor/
  18. Some fun and not so much fun... trail riding with a bad ending (alternator failure)

Is that a newer shield? Doesn't seem to have the opening to access the battery terminal connection (only difference between the original and new TSB replacement that I've seen). Under the plastic cover where you can access the problematic brushes
