  1. Wrapped Bronco Raptor on 40's (Gloss Metal Hawaii Mint)

That is the exact color I thought they were doing broncos based on the online pics before we saw any in person.
  2. High transmission temperature while rock crawling!

I'm getting a burning smell while using engine breaking coming down hills, both at 60 and at lower speeds. Pretty sure it's transmission fluid, but not sure why this would happen.
  3. 2023 Bronco Recall 23S17: Loose / Improper Lug Nut Torque on Driver's Side Wheels

Does anyone know what the correct torque number is off hand for sasquatch? Guess I need to find the online manual... Since this took more than a minute to find...
  4. Cross country drive with new Bronco?

The theory is you aren't supposed to drive on the highway to break it in as the rpms are always the same and maybe that would wear the piston/cylinders in weird. I don't know, I've had to do it a number of times but not like I owned those vehicles forever. You aren't supposed to go super high...
  5. First experience with Baja mode

You can lose traction on any road, and if you get it back when you are sideways you are in trouble. Also hard to steer if you are airborne. The problem with modern vehicles is that they go so fast so easily that when you lose it you will be lucky to escape without damage. Best thing you can do...
  6. Dealership service denied

I tried to get appointment at a dealer 2.5 hours from home. They couldn't see me for 3 weeks. So I make appointment, make the drive, and was told they wouldn't look at car for 3 weeks. Wonderful.
  7. Problem Installing Mabbet Front Flaps

I thought I read a lot of threads on here but I guess I missed the ones saying they didn't fit. Sigh.
  8. Problem Installing Mabbet Front Flaps

I don't know what I'm doing wrong. The install bracket has a bend in it and that seems to make the mounting at an angle to the vehicle, not perpendicular. In addition to looking wrong, it also makes the interior mounting point about 2 inches from where it's supposed to connect. The bracket is...
  9. Tires at 50% at 12000 miles?

Factory tires are the lowest bidder tires. They probably lose money on them, but they also make them have less tread (to save money on production) and softer for better performance, and to get you to come back and buy a full price set of the same thing. Buy some better tires as soon as they all...
  10. Insurance cost for 6 months

The real test is when you actually need the insurance. I've heard horror stories, but everyone I have talked to at Geico has been professional and they paid for the one accident I had.
  11. 01/23/2023 Build Week

2 door wildtrack with all packages, tow and extra skid plates. Built 1/30, shipped 2/3, dealer called today, 2/16 and it was there. Ready this afternoon but I was expecting a lot longer so hopefully they don't sell before I get back. Western Arizona. The price protection is being taken off as...
  12. Has Anyone Been to Death Valley Recently?

Normally the website has road closure listed. I'm confused, this is the most updated info. https://www.nps.gov/deva/planyourvisit/conditions.htm
  13. Anyone else considering trading for the next-gen 4Runner?

I don't know. How much is it? How much power? What's the mileage? How comfortable are the seats? What is the 4wd system? What colors can I get?
  14. Still Waiting after 2 years..............

I was going to get a grand cheroke but the off road model can only be purchased with 1,000 pounds of batteries, and the top of the line version doesn't have the rear diff lock that's it's supposed to, and the hemi isn't available. So that was out.
  15. Quick Survey - Bronco or Defender?

The Defender is great on the highway, and the sunroof makes it easy to get the open air feel. I doubt I'll ever take the top off the bronco. But they don't let you lock the diffs, as far as I'm aware. So you can see it in videos, the bronco reaches a shelf and just climbs right up. With the...
  16. Tow Report - 2 Door Manual Base Sasquatch

I don't recall on the bronco but a sport mode button will drop the gear for you. Another consideration is if you keep your rpms's low and go up a hill the transmission might not be getting enough cooling. Not sure if it's true of this vehicle, but have smelled that with others.
  17. Thinking of ordering a Polaris RZR Pro XP 1000 while I wait for another year for my Bronco

They are so much more fun than road vehicles. Your Bronco may be a let down after driving it around for a year.
  18. Auto Start Stop Eliminator Freebie

Don't understand people who don't mind it. Almost every time my engine turns off it's off for about a second, so it doesn't save any fuel and causes a lot of wear and tear. Plus it's dangerous. If you have to pull across traffic or turn left, you need to do it now, not in 1.5 seconds. Always...
