You tuned it, and solved the main issue with the 10-speeds: terrible OEM programming.
My F150 is out of warranty entirely at the end of July, and I will be addressing my dislike with a tune as well. Hope that does it, and that the fatal flaw doesn't rear its head ('19).
The Ford 10-speeds are something else.
I didn't realize how much of a POS the trans is in my '19 F150 until I got my JL Rubi with the ZF 8-speed. Ford should take serious notes.
MGV is fantastic for cleanup, but I hate it otherwise. I've had enough experience with it in boats, too hot. The Bronco stuff is more flexible though for sure.
Yeah, it's pretty clear that they all make a turd now and then. Amazing how I seem to get stuck with them.
My JL is my fifth Wrangler, and it was a leap of faith buying another. Its predecessor, a '13, had a few issues, primarily oil leaks. The one before it, a '12, I swear to this day was...
I'd be seriously considering punting the rig in the OP's case....
I've been a Ford guy for the most part for almost 40 years, but my '19 F150 is sort of the turning point for me with Ford. It's been in the shop too many times and certain things about it just piss me off (warped dash, anyone?)...
THIS.
I wasn't aware that the Bronco HVAC required the use of the touchscreen for controls. No physical controls? That's a deal breaker for me, as is the case in the new Mustangs.
This stinks, Ford needs cloth options back on multiple trims.
I've seen enough of MGV in boats to know how it holds up long term. Not interested, and I'm not a fan of Ford's "leather" either based on my Mustang.
This. Especially the bold.
I had a 2004 F150 that I bought new and owned for a decade. Gas, tires, oil changes. Never an issue outside a clockspring recall, solid all the way around. I loved that truck and should have kept it. When I bought my '19, I was hoping for the same experience. What a...
I never bothered with it. The F150 boards more or less indicated that the replacement would warp also.
I hadn't heard about the dashes made out of an alternate material. I know there was a TSB for the issue, but my dash would have barely made the cut by the ridiculous criteria. I could...
But Ford's interiors are junk. My warped dash top in my F150 (since Day 1) is testament.
But yeah, chemicals will wreak havoc on different plastics too....
I see the Granger ones only go back so far in model year....
My '19 F150 has a whopping 27K miles on it. It's had its share of issues (including cam phasers) and I'd like to keep it, but it will be out of powertrain warranty this July and I'm leery. Curious as to what, if any, options I might...
