  1. Who is headed to the Ford Nationals in Carlisle, PA?

I took my '91 F-150 Nite last year. I'll probably take my Bronco this time. There were a bunch of 6G Broncos there last year. At the time, I was still awaiting delivery of my Bronco, so it was fun to check out the Broncos and talk to the owners. The 2021 show was the first time I saw a 2 dr...
  2. SAS ride quality on interstate highways?

The 4.27 includes the locking rear, hence the higher cost. That's more of an advantage for off-road use. Or if you plan on non-SAS and upgrading to 35" tires, the 4.27 gearing helps make up the difference of the larger dia tires. The SAS suspension is a little softer, the stock is more firm...
  3. SAS ride quality on interstate highways?

The larger diameter of the tires makes up some of the difference in the gearing. For example, going from a 32" diameter tire to a 35 is a 10% increase. Going from a 3.73 to a 4.7 rear is a 26% increase, so the real difference between the gear/tire combo is about 16%. Looking at it another way...
  4. 2024 Bronco Factory Build Sheet Location

Mine was in an envelope on the seat or floor. I 'visited' my Bronco within the few hours after it arrived at the dealership. I snagged the build sheet at that time, asked the sales guy if I could keep it. He said 'sure, we just throw them out'.
  5. Best Bang for your Buck on the 42,000 Points

That's a boring choice, but it's what I used my points on too. ;) As far as accessories, the aftermarket has a lot of better choices at lower prices. The Ford hood struts are made by Redline and would have been one of my top choices. Then maybe the floor and cargo mats. Ford Accessories has...
  6. Trans temps

Transmission coolers are usually built into the radiator, therefor trans temp would be close to engine coolant temp. HD vehicles often have an additional trans fluid cooler (cooled by air). I don't know exactly what the Bronco setup is... A quick Google search says optimum temp is 175*-225*. At...
  7. Where the hell is my VIN?! Missing Windshield VIN

Agree the 'repo' vin sticker appears to be the best option. I take it Ford will not issue a replacement vin sticker? Your vin has already been verified. Taking the easiest/best cost option to replace it seems to be the best way to go. You're staying within the law/requirements to cya.
  8. REMEMBER 4 YEARS AGO?

I wasn't even considering buying a new vehicle at the time. I had heard Ford was coming out with a new Bronco, so I occasionally did a Google search that led me to Bronco 6G. I heard about the reveal date, and hit up the Ford site that evening. I thought it looked fantastic! I considered it for...
  9. Where the hell is my VIN?! Missing Windshield VIN

Here's a different take..... The vehicle was serviced for windshield sealant and someone stole the vin tag. I know it's not easy to do or even likely it happened. Just thought I'd throw it out there as a remote possibility. I have to admit I'm intrigued as to why it's missing or what happened...
  10. Taking delivery, which Ford accessories to get with $800 credit!?

I applied my points towards an extended warranty from Granger. It would have been more fun to buy some accessories tho. Hood struts were on my list. They're supposedly the same as Redlines. Floor and cargo mats I bought elsewhere.
  11. Complimentary Ford Pick Up & Delivery and Ford Mobile Service — Vehicle Service That Fits Your Life

I'm only a few miles from the dealer, shuttle service works ok. I asked for a loaner once and got a damn Nissan! It took 3 visits and 3 months to fix the dead infotainment screen. Hope I won't have any other issues.
  12. Flooded Bronco Meets Crusher

That's a damn shame! Soooo many good parts. Maybe it got flooded with sewer water.... becomes a bio hazard.
  13. Used Value Dropping Fast

Carvana offer for my 7 month old 2 dr V6 BaseSquatch is $38k. MSRP was 46k, I paid 41k. With a 2024 2 dr with V6 and Squatch now over 55k, I expect mine to hold value better than most. My only other new vehicle purchase was my '91 F-150 Nite. I paid $18k for it (Invoice). MSRP was 20k and I bet...
  14. OEM Hard Top - Keep or Sell Extra Hard Top Dilemma?

I prefer the hardtop so would naturally keep it. I'd say the expected life of the softtop is shorter than the hardtop, but that is debatable. My experience with softtops is on convertibles from the 60's, and they didn't last long and are expensive to replace. In your case, I would look at...
  15. Ford Chat?

You have the VIN, did you get a production date? You should have access to the tracker. As said, you need the sales code. If you still can't get the tracker to work, or are unable to see the 'chat' function, try a different browser. Your window sticker won't be available until about a week...
  16. Winter storage tips / steps?

I could use some of those for my '91 F-150 that I barely drive. I see them advertised as 'tire saver ramps'.
  17. Windows sticker 2024

Typically about a week before your scheduled build week. Your tracker may show 'in production' about that time too, although it won't hit the assembly line until your build day.
  18. Black Diamond 4A Automatic 4x4 Non-squatch BD 2024

2024 vin's don't seem to make a distinction between part time vs full time (4A) 4x4. Just 2dr vs 4dr. Must be new for 2024 vs the 21-23.
  19. Black Diamond 4A Automatic 4x4 Non-squatch BD 2024

If you do search for a 2023, the 4A will be reflected in the vin.....E5C or E5D. This will make your search much easier.
  20. Bronco grill letters: are they painted or white plastic?

Haha! I put blue letters on my BaseSquatch when I got it....But then Ford killed the Base, and when I see the black letters on a Base when on the road, I think 'cool another Base!'. We're in an exclusive club! I may take the colored letters off. BTW, the colored letter overlays are only about...
