In MY22 there was a lot of value to be had, with the Base base still in the low $30's or speced similar to the Wildtrak (without the mid-package) for $42k. Now not so much....
Now Armorlite flooring is an option for around $650 on sale.

I feel your pain, while waiting for the Bronco to be delivered the wife picked up a Corvette Z06 which forced her to either give up my Ford GT or the Demon 170 (which is her commuter car). Now we're deciding between the Range Rover of the G-wagon to take the kids to school, when that happens...
Jeep still sells the Wrangler Sport, and they sell enough Wranglers that Ford went after the market segment, not sure why it wouldn't work with Toyota.
The real shame is Toyota didn't make a retro version on the FJ40, size it similar to the Bronco and give it a NA 6 engine, keep it utilitarian, and forego all the nanny crap from the Bronco. The modern-day Land Cruiser always seems to be competing to be the poor man's G-wagon.
I would think it has to do with it being mostly vertical, and not deflecting small rocks, the way a more slanted windshield do. Mine got hit with a rock a few days back that wasn't that big, sounded like a gunshot as opposed to a normal clink.
Totaled out 4 vehicles over 25 years with Progressive, never have I been low-balled. I left my local independent agent when he couldn't even come with-in the same ballpark of their pricing.
No rear locker and 3.73 gearing would be a deal breaker for me new or used. One could make the case for skipping the $800 option if they are planning on running the 30" tires that came on the Base, or if they purchased the $30K Base and it wasn't even an option, or a manual (but the OBX only...
