I disagree. I always run top tier 93. On a long trip I tried 91 to save money. Not only could I feel the difference in performance, the mpg dropped.

I could not figure why my lawn tractor was running rough. I tried a top tier gas and it resolved the problem. That's all I needed to know.

Some of mpg has to do with driving habits. I've always driven easy on the gas. 2.7 averaged 17. Just took a 2000 mile trip in eco mode & got 20.5.

The drop in mileage is affected by ambient temperature. Cold air is denser than warm air. Heating the engine sooner has no effect.

To me, this is an odd question. I didn't know any car had ajustable back seats. Of course, I'm an old guy. The few vehicles I've ever had with back seats were either removed or never used.
