Happens in Android Auto as well. Not often but it does happen. A radio reset fixes it, because Ford is too stupid to fix these audio problems they created.
A year ago none of these problems existed.
You guys aren't that special. Happens with Android Auto as well.
Seems lately I just reset the radio and move along. I doubt Ford is ever going to completely fix these issues with the phones and Sync4 playing nice.
Yep. And it's like a $5 part (if that). It's on your driver's side mirror. Did mine a couple months ago I believe.
Funny thing is, I'm seeing it happen to more and more 2021 Broncos. That great Ford quality.
I'm not going to read through 3 pages of posts, but wanted to let you Apply Fan Boys know you are not alone. Android Auto also has wireless connectivity issues. It started last summer (2023) when Ford pushed out one of their software updates (which unfortunately we CAN'T revert back to the old...
If you had a pre-2023 (I think, not sure if newer Bronco's could get the JBL Soundbar). But Ford had a flash from JBL that they could apply using FDRS. It basically eliminated the need for a amp and sounded better.
Also check the "gain", my speakers (rear) were quiet until I started messing with that. But don't turn it up too much that will cause a crackling sound. I didn't read this entire thread, did you do any of the Forscan changes?
I still say the speaker bar software update is the way to go...
Kinda looks like you started the battle @j_marinelli 🤬 But it's ok, we all know that iPhones SUCK!
Anyways, I just wanted to state that the current software Ford has been running since last summer has already had 3 to 1 odds that it works. Been rather buggy since that fateful update last year...
OP, I'm in a '21 BaseSquatch 8" screen. Had my previous phone, Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, and now current phone, Galaxy S23 Ultra, both hooked up to AA wirelessly without issues for a long time.
I will say 2 years ago I had issues in which AA was freezing up on me, and eventually figured out if I...
If it makes you feel any better, the new update also ruined the backup camera for us poor BaseSquatch's.
Funny, because I thought this update was meant to actually FIX the backup camera issue Ford was having. Does @Ford Motor Company want to chime in on this?
Just did a search and came across this thread, probably was looking for it a year ago. Not sure if you would know the answer, but I clicked on the link you posted.
In the trims that do have the front camera, isn't there an icon within SYNC to get to them? Which now has me wondering (and yeah...
A bit late to the game here OP, but to answer your question, when it becomes laggy you just need to disconnect the phone and reconnect. Turn off both wifi and bluetooth to do that.
As for everyone else with all the issues, along with the "We need all our phones to be simple and look the same"...
Turn up the gain for the rear, about halfway. That was my issue until a couple of peeps over on BN suggested it. Made a world of difference.
And do the Forscan stuff too.
That's what I figured.
I have no desire to purchase yet another harness, I think I'll investigate further into just tapping into the blue wire (for remote). Will probably see if that wire is what I think it is.
Thanks.
I may be figuring out my own question, found some pictures of my old PNP harness when I was sending back. I do see a blue wire, question is, is that a remote wire or for something else.
I scanned through this thread and only see your reference to the PNP harness.
Did you purchase the harness for the amp & sub combined? Or were you able to tap into the harness (for just the kicker key) to hook up your remote wire?
I have the PNP harness for just the amp, and was considering...
Do any of the buttons on that screen work when you try to press them? I've had an issue in which I've connected to android auto and then no presses anywhere work. In my case, that was an Android Auto thing, disconnect by turning off Wi-Fi and turning back on. It re-connects and then I can press...
Want to go on record and say that I posted way back I went with LLJ Customs, due to the 45 day wait for PlugNPlayKits at that time.
Do NOT go with LLJ. Nothing but a headache, and a whole lot of silence. They told me in email how their harness was far superior. Then told me I'd have it in 2...
Do you see it in the list of apps when your phone connects to Android Auto? That's where mine is.
Amazon Music wasn't listed and I forgot how I got that added, but I can try to look tomorrow.
Both Waze and Maps were there from the start though.
