Eric just called me. My Bronco is there. Depending on their inspection and windshield recall issues I might be able to come get it this weekend.
I'll bet yours is right behind!
My dealer told me there is a rail embargo on rail shipments to California. Not sure what that means for you, but here's hoping it starts heading west soon!
My status is now "Empty Released by Customer"
I assume that means all the vehicles in that car have been off loaded and are sitting in the lot waiting for a truck.
According to CSX tracking the railcar my Bronco is on has been "Constructively Placed" at the Mira Loma facility in California. My understanding is that Mira Loma is the last stop by train and the rest of the trip will be by convoy. Last I heard from my dealer, they said it was still in Illinois...
Has anyone else found it difficult to make sense of the railcar tracking systems? I have my railcar number, but the CSX tracker seems to contradict what the UP tracker says. One says the railcar is in California while the latter (difficult to decipher) seems to say it is in Illinois.
My dealer just told me about the embargo, but the CSX tracking system says that it just left Kelso, California this morning. I'm hoping since it's already in California it won't be impeded.
