I too reserved in August 21. The whole time I was worried about price increases. My private offer $2450 was honored. My net increase was only $240.
I had previously asked my dealer how the private offer works. Will I get a check later or will it be in the price. He said that the dealer will get...
18 months so far. 2dr BL non sas. I called my dealer last week about how this whole thing might affect my order. He checked & said it won't I have a schedule and a VIN!
laughing....had trouble deciding obviously. I driven mostly black fords for 40 years (my 73 mustang is red - thought about painting it black). carb gray was my "final" pick until i saw iconic silver
badlands 2 door auto 6cyl lux. I removed tow a long time ago (since bought a curt). color started with black, then cactus gray, then carbonized gray, last change was to silver.
I want what I want. I agree with not settling. I'm 70 and its my last car. I don't want to give up anything at this point, including LUX. 18 month wait has so far cost me $1800 in interest rate increases. I can, and am willing to wait but if I lose price protection and have to pay '24...
I have to go 84 months. started at 4.49, then 4.99, now 5.49. in order keep my projected payments where they needs to be, every 1/2% increase rerquires another $670 down.
my dealer will not go above msrp, but cannot confirm my '21 to '23 won't cost another $3k.
I'm waiting on my non sas badlands. the 35" tire size raises it less than an inch. sas has M/T tires while non sas has A/T tires. not sure there's much else different; lower gears, bumper etc. Some say the M/T tires pick up and throw rocks.
2 dr badlands...I went local, then heard about Granger, so, I ordered (reserved) with them, expecting to cancel my local reservation.....Then found i was about #1000 at Granger & I'd have to wait 4 or 5 years. Glad I didn't cancel my local one.
I'm small town. I jumped from Granger to my local guy. 2nd or 3rd generation that's always depended on locals. If they did this to anyone in the county, word would spread fast. As it is, its a well respected viable business. make $10 on one sale or $20 on 10 sales
