  1. Portable power supply

I use mine quite a bit when camping off grid in my RTT. Your solar panel looks a bit meek so you may not get a ton out of that. Maybe upgrade that if you find that you're using the battery a good bit. I have a Bluetti EB70s with 716Wh capacity and I use it often to power my fridge overnight...
  2. Are Recovery / Traction Boards Actually Useful?

There's only 4 bolts attaching It to the roll bar and my customers that have soft tops have said that they just remove it in those infrequent cases when the retract the top all the way.
  3. Are Recovery / Traction Boards Actually Useful?

They're compatible until you try to retract the soft top all the way :) The soft-top cross-bars follow the contour of the roll bar when retracting so they do cause interference.
  4. Are Recovery / Traction Boards Actually Useful?

Like most (all?) of my recovery gear I carry mine as insurance more than anything as I like to get way out and away from people. That was also the catalyst to design the mounting brackets that I carry on my website - it keeps all of that gear tucked so far out of the way to the point where I...
  5. MORRFlate vs Thor’s Lightning 4-tire air hose?

No experience with MorrFlate, however I do have the Thor 4 tire system and love the quality of the hoses. They're flexible at all temperatures and have a quality rubbery texture. Only drawback on both systems is the digital gauge. I wish they were analog so I don't have to worry about dead...
  6. Let's see your roof-top Tents and camping setups!

I added these to my Bronco that theoretically increases the load capacity of the MIC hard top. I think they could use some design improvements but the concept is solid. https://www.jcroffroad.com/product/BR6MT-RP.html
  7. Maxtrax mounting options with a soft top Bronco

Is there any interest if I modified this bracket to effectively remove the molle grates putting the traction boards closer to being flush with the rollbar? I haven’t ventured down this path because I believe it would block your rearview mirror. The only other option would be to make it...
  8. Carrying Clean Water?

I use the same container in a 5 gallon size. I'd hesitate to add this much weight to the tailgate. Based on the direction of your decisions, I'm guessing you have a soft top? For a hard top, I'm thinking of adding these to my JCR rack for water. It would be great to find something that's...
  9. Those with a Roof Top Tent- how often do you remove it?

No. The main issue is that the bolts for my 23Zero tent are so long, and the nuts are nylock. So I'm spending a ton of time with a ratcheting wrench and arms in a tight position between the roof rack and MIC top. Shorter bolts will still capture all of the threads of the nylock nuts
  10. Those with a Roof Top Tent- how often do you remove it?

Mine has been hanging from my garage ceiling since I bought it last Fall, however, I'll be re-mounting it this week. Although it's only 8 bolts attaching it to my roof rack, they're still a PITA to get to and wrench on when I need to. That alone would inhibit me from removing it often , so I'll...
  11. 270 degree awning installed

Super easy install of my new 23Zero 270 degree awning on my JCR rack today. I was worried about whether I could still take the tops off but it looks like I should have enough clearance. I’ll have to try tomorrow as it’s getting late here in Utah. I have an awning wall that wraps around the front...
  12. Installing the Grimm dual ARB compressor mount in a 2.3

No issues at all. It probably doesn’t matter which mount you go with because after install, it’s out of sight, out of mind. We’ve got plenty of snow here, but when it warms up, I’m probably going to mount the air hose connector to a more convenient location, maybe somewhere to the rear. It’s...
  13. Grimm ARB mount questions

I added rubber grommets between the ecu and the bracket on mine, hoping to minimize any potential future issues.
  14. Rooftop tents and rooftop racks - recommendations ?

Shoutout to check out https://www.raketdesigns.com/ to see if his solution meets your needs as there’s a ton of US Innovation going on over there. Having said that, I bought a JCR rack last fall to mount my 23 Zero Walkabout 62 and it’s pretty awesome. I don’t feel the weight at all and I don’t...
  15. Fridge Strap

Take note that if you strap it in like this to be mindful of any ventilation holes on the side of the fridge. I placed these on the side of the fridge which also keeps the subwoofer from rattling against the fridge.
  16. Fridge Strap

These work great. I take my fridge out often to haul cargo so I have no plans for a slide.
  17. 270 Awning - Which one to buy?

I’m curious if anyone has tried 23zero. I have their walkabout 62 tent and love it so far. I’ve been looking at their 270° awning as well.
  18. Recovery gear deep dive: shackles, straps and kinetic ropes, what to buy!

This is fantastic information and despite my experience with rigging as a former commercial diver, the concept of defining the failure point is so enlightening to me and a great concept. Now you have me evaluating the recovery gear I currently have and considering what I might need to replace...
  19. Any experience with roof tent with roof racks?

I have the JCR 4dr roof rack and added a 23zero Walkabout 62 to it. I think it weighs around 150 pounds but It never felt top-heavy nor unstable. I bought it in the Fall in Utah, so I haven't had much time to do anything technical yet, but I have no reason to think it would be a problem in rough...
  20. Tailgate tables, no good ones for the bronco!

I installed this one from Bison Gear and really like it. I have no idea on the weight, but it checked all the feature checkboxes that I was looking for and it doesn't rattle. You probably don't need the Molle but it's nice to have on my 4dr...
