    I love my 2.7 and would get only this engine in the Bronc, but I'm a little miffed that they downtuned it to 310 HP. It's 325 in my F150. Not sure why that 15 HP made such a difference.

    This is a topic that most of us are completely fed up with on F150forum. The latest gen 2.7L has both direct and port injection, therefore eliminating the need for a catch can or a "weep hole" drilled into the bottom of the intercooler.

    Not true. That is the current generation of plugs. The first generation had a 3/8 square hole in the end so you could use a ratchet to remove the plug, but the front sway bar made it tough to get a ratchet in there if you had the heavy duty front sway bar with the towing package. The one...

    I've had a 2.7 in my F150's since 2015 and have not had any issues whatsoever with the engine or the plastic oil pan. 1G in my 2015 and 2G in my current 2018. I've been on F150Forum.com since 2015 and it's obvious to me that both generations of the 2.7L, both with the 6R80 and new 10R80...
