I've said this before, but I thought I'd add it to this thread. I talked with a suspension engineer that I saw here in Denver last year when they were conducting all the testing in the mountains. He explicitly said "there are only two suspensions, the HOSS (std B-OB) & the HOSS with position...
HOSS is just the name they have designated for the Bronco suspension. There are 2 HOSS suspensions, the normal HOSS and the HOSS with Bilstein Position Sensitive Dampers.
Going Sasquatch gets you the upgraded front differential, different gearing, tires, suspension, wheels, etc. I haven't decided what I'm doing yet, I wish I could get the Sasquatch package with 33"s, but I'll probably get it anyway.
I don’t know what the marketing dept is calling high-clearance. They could be pointing out that anything with the upgraded Bilsteins has a lift compared to the stock suspension. They could be referencing the bump stops limiting up-travel.
BL, WT, FE, & Sasquatch have the same suspension setup...
The physical suspension components on the BL, WT, FE, & Sasquatch are the same. The only difference for anything with 35”s is the larger bump stops that limit up-travel .5” or so.
Good info. I’m seriously thinking about buying these aftermarket and switching the tires to 33”s on ours instead of the Sasquatch pkg.
One thing though, Ford is using the HOSS (High-performance Off-road Stability Suspension) designation for all Bronco suspensions. The upgraded...
I agree that at face value, the numbers don’t add up. But there are a ton of variables to consider, most of which we have no clue about yet. With tire size, I know we can find actual diameters of the tires, but those aren’t under weight of the vehicle either. The actual heights under load will...
I guess I should ignore the conversation I had with the suspension engineer driving the test mule here in Colorado? Because he would know. They’re the same. It’s 1.4” difference on the prelim spec sheet for 1.7” difference /2 tire diameter. I’m assuming that’s where everyone is coming up with...
It’s the same. The only difference in the suspension is the Sasquatch gets the taller bump stops to limit up travel. The Badlands, Wildtrax, First Edition, and any trim with Sasquatch has the same suspension setup. The only differences are the bump stops that come with 35s and the small height...
