  1. Balance Beads or tire weights poll and thoughts.

the reason is because wide tires also need to be cross balanced as well as the typical radial/up-down you think about when troubleshooting tire balancing. one way to deal with the cross balance issue is to have the tires road force balanced, but another method that can also work is to have the...
  2. Most aggressive 3 peak rated 35 or 315 tire

I believe the duratracs are three peak rated and almost a mud tire, so that's probably the one of the most aggressive three peak treads you can get.
  3. Tire Options With Badlands Optional Wheels On A Sasquatch

Right, another consideration would be when you are aired down off road, you'll see more sidewall deflection than in normal driving so you could have some rubbing in certain situations there.
  4. Cabin noise level - Stock Goodyear vs BFG KO2

Good to see this confirmed. I plan on swapping to KO2s or another all terrain once my oem tires are done, I can't really talk on the phone above 65mph or so the tires and road noise are so loud.
  5. Sasquatch Tire Replacement (Rock Flingers)

my recommendation would be to troll the raptor forum classifieds and find a set of oem KO2 take offs with low miles. should be perfect for your use, they don't pick up rocks like the oem goodyears, and most importantly they look good.
  6. Selling OEM wheels and tires?

I bought a set of BD steelies for the tires for my gx460, and had a hell of a time getting the wheels sold. I ended up getting $100 for the four including the tpms sensors and was happy to get them gone.
  7. Selling OEM wheels and tires?

Probably a little bit. Someone once responded to one of my for sale threads that they weren't interested in a used something unless they're saving 50% over new retail, unless theres a real good reason to buy it (like there aren't other options). probably 1,500-2,000 for sasquatch take offs...
  8. Help Please: Caliper Bolt loose / damaged caliper base?

In that case, have them document what they found, and send it to the dealer to be fixed. the low miles on it should be enough to get them to take care of it. What caused the shop to be looking at your brakes?
  9. Do I need D load rated tires? Or will C do the trick?

typically higher load range tires have morelayers in the sidewalls that makes them stiffer (this is why people would be selling E load range bfg KO with 60k miles and 50% tread left from a Tacoma, they were hard as rocks), and therefore ride firmer. It’s all relative and depends on individual...
  10. Do I need D load rated tires? Or will C do the trick?

I agree that you don’t need more than C load range, but broncos are not exactly light, a fully loaded badlands weighs over 5k lbs before you put all the overlanding kit on it. Bottom line, if ford specs the raptor with its 7,800 lb tow rating with c load range, you’re not likely to need more...
  11. Black Diamond General Grabbers

I've had a couple sets of grabbers on a few vehicles, in fact, my gx460 is running a set of black diamond grabber take offs. They are a great all terrain tire, which means they're fine as long as you aren't dealing with mud. they can work in mud but you just have to zing the hell out of them to...
  12. Problems with K02s?

BFG had a run of KO2s that were terrible to balance during covid but for the most part aside from that they have been reliable for people. I've found that if you can't find a shop to road force balance, then the next best thing is hammer on weights on the inside of the wheel. The issue comes...
  13. Low-noise, road-first, all-terrain wheel upgrade for Big Bend - looking for recommendations

First, any all terrain is going to be louder than your stock bridgestone tires. That said, I would look at the milder Falken Wildpeak, the firestone destination a/t, and the michelin ltx at/2. Those are all more of a mild all terrain with a stronger tire carcass for off roading. For a...
  14. I need some offset - how much?

Its hard to say you'll need a new wheel with X amount of offset because offset is measured from the centerline of the wheel to the mounting surface. So, if you buy a wheel with less offset you might think you'll be ok, but if you buy like a 10.5" wheel you could have worse fitment. Stock...
  15. Ford Performance bead lock ring - Real World review?

Don't think about the super heavy modern rigs these days, think about an xj cherokee or suzuki samurai running a load range c or d tire. some rigs need to run way low pressures to get the sidewall flex.
  16. Ford Performance bead lock ring - Real World review?

If you're running low speed, rock crawling, you can pretty easily go down to 10-12 psi on standard wheels, and high single digits on the beach without much issue. Nate from Dirt Lifestyle on Youtube ran down to almost zero on bead grip wheels and they held the bead. They seem to be a great...
  17. KO2 Lifespan

As tires age, through time and heat cycles, the rubber dries out and becomes harder and less pliable, as well as the tread blocks wearing down, which a shorter, wider tread block will flex less than a taller skinnier one. Another factor as the tires wear is the siping, which looks like little...
  18. Flat Tire/Rotation ???

that's kindof an apples and oranges comparison, KO2 is an all terrain which none of are particularly good mud tires. I would counter with the goodyear duratrac works great in the mud and doesn't fling rocks like the territory does. The reality is the territory is the cheapest 315/70-17 out...
  19. Black Diamond Tires

I can confirm the grabbers are also great on Toyota/lexus. As long as ford keeps putting them on broncos there should be a steady supply of cheap take off 265/70-17 tires available
  20. Sasquatch rims/tires on Badlands Question

The ranger raptor that launched this week has KO3s, assuming they will be available by the time they start producing them.
