Hey all. I’ve noticed my M&R lightbar brackets are starting to show some rust. They’re not crumbling or anything, but definitely noticeable when looking at the car.
Would you replace these? My other thought was washing it off and then hitting it with some appliance touch up paint (rust inhibitor)
UPDATE 9/29: Oracle's response to this thread was quick and productive. They agreed that the rust is excessive for the timeframe and provided a very fair solution (your results may vary, so I am being purposely vague). The customer service team has been very responsive and thorough. Oracle...
Hey, everyone.
EDIT: It seems I've accidentally made two identical posts. Sorry about that.
I recently picked up a new 2025 Bronco Raptor in desert sand. I don't even have 200 miles on the truck but I'm afraid it was sitting on the dealer lot for a few months at least.
Given that information...
Just bought my 4dr Wildtrak about a month ago, still under warranty obviously but curious if y’all have seen this before. Took the hardtop off this week with some great PNW weather and noticed these bolts under the front MIC hardtop panels had rust around them. She’s brand new and I’d assume...
Just noticed this today while I was washing my bronco. After only two years my bumper has tons of rust spots! I have no idea if this is normal but I’m so bummed out. Is rust a warranty item?
Hi all!
I'm looking for some guidance on where to find higher quality (preferably stainless) hardware for my Bronco TRMR roof rack.
I've owned the rack for about 9 months and have substantial corrosion of the 1/4"-20 T-Nuts that were provided in the kit and somewhat less significant corrosion...
Hey all! I’ll jump right to it… for those of you who are steelies diehards, any signs of how difficult these are gonna be to maintain?
Literally from day one - when my dealer swapped the stock Duellers for 33” Wildpeaks - I had scratches down to bare metal in several places. The dealer did...
I'm about to install an RTR Lightbar along with a new winch bumper and skid plates....but I was wanting to know my options to help "prevent" surface rust on these powdercoated parts.
I don't expect to fully prevent surface rust, but rather add extra protection to areas where powdercoat is...
Not sure if others have the same level of rust or I have a fast paced corroding metal part. I understand rust is normal for some of these parts but this to me looks out of the norm. See pictures and thanks for looking.
Normal or concern?
Hi all
I have a 2022 Bronco Big Bend, only 300 miles in. I spent a lot of time installing various accessories and caught a glimpse of a part of the engine I’m not familiar with.
What is it?
Why is it already rusted (only 300 miles driving, stored in a garage idle)?
Should I be worried about...
Hi Everyone:
I took delivery of my Bronco 5 days ago and instantly noticed rusted bolts on the front trail sights. Worried that this might signify hidden issues, I took a look underneath and found the entire drivetrain rusted -- both front and rear driveshafts and both front halfshafts look...
My Badlands just arrived at the dealership and I saw some rust underneath it, I only took one picture unfortunately but it not the only place with it.
Is it normal?
Thanks!
The purpose of this thread is to provide information about my experience with professionally rust proofing my 2021 Bronco Wildtrak. This is an update to some earlier threads I started here:
“Worried about rust on your Bronco? You should be. Here's why.”
