I just discovered Gold Butte when I looked at "Jeep trails" near Vegas. I'm looking forward to getting my Bronco and exploring a lot of new real estate

I’ve never been. It looks like Valley of Fire, but apparently it’s on the other side of the Lake. I have to look into this more. Looks pretty. Are there supposed to be good trails there?

Way back in the day I use to work at Maverick helicopters. We always flew over this area and you could see old mines, landing strips and other places dating back to old mining days of Nevada. This area has a lot of roads to explore and camp along the lake.

I purchased OnXOffroad app they have a lot of off-road trails.

Don’t mind the drop pins to the left. I’ve created a route down the the closed Overton Marina. What’s cool is once you creat your own route it will calculate the total distance.

Off 95 on the way to Laughlin:
Ghost town of Nelson - paved road to town...but some off road trails east of town...and a road down to the river.

Christmas Tree Pass
https://www.exploringnevada.com/scenic-drives/christmas-tree-pass.php

some pix from my ride last spring...people take their old xmas ornaments and decorate the cactus...from 95...last 4 miles was deep sand not easy on bike...i was up to the spokes in sand

If you can make out from the pix of the map ...a large amount of dez to play in not far from town.

I second Christmas Tree Pass. Took that road coming back from Laughlin once in my work truck.

Christmas tree pass is fun to explore with little ones they love all the random Christmas trees. It’s an easy off-roading trip if you have little to no experience. I loved exploring all the Native American art in the area!
