According to my dealer it appears they come via truck and in some cases (depending on where they're going in the country) can be cross loaded on CN rail line. They are sometimes also held in a holding yard until there are enough vehicles on one truck going to a specific dealership or couple of dealerships.

Surprisingly they come to Calgary by convoy as well. Toronto I would expect by truck as it’s relatively close to Detroit. When they receive vehicles here at my dealership its usually a mix of cars/trucks/SUVs but other times its a whole carrier of just F150s or just Eco sports. It all depends on logistics, luck and how far off the beaten path your town lies in relation to their route?
