from BN:

  • There is at least one known error in the guide, according to Ford. The slide out tailgate isn't ready for primetime and will not be there at Job 1 for MY22.
please please please ask Ford if they can allow a Black interior/seat option on a Wildtrak... the rest of the interior can stay the same color selections!!! I would be happy to get either an MGV or Leather option... I'm sure that many others are also interested in a BLACK SEAT option. Additionally, people that will not recieve their FE, in my 2021, will likely want to downgrade their build to a Wildtrak, with Black seats.

I actually thought they were going to give a full black leather/seat options for 22. I recall communication from Ford that they basically admitted to dropping the ball on some of those forced interior/exterior combos. I was following that very closely as it was one reason I was thinking of 99'ing my order (instead I switched from WildTrack to Badlands to get said black interior).

Crap.

I really wanted a roof-railed 4-dr BL MIC mansquatch. That wasn't possible with MY21, but apparently is with MY22. And my rig is scheduled to be built on 11/29 - like 2 weeks before they start building MY22. Aside from the crash bars and perhaps the center brake-light, anyone know what else needs to get done to go from 33s to 35s? And what don't I get with that strategy? Both are 17" beadlock-capable wheels.
BL non-Sasq = LT285/70R17 tires and 8Jx17 ET55 wheels [don’t know if the bead capable upgrade wheels are wider, but doubt it, as the tries are still LT285].
BL Sasq = LT315/70R17 tires and 8.5Jx17 ET30 wheels.

Thanks. That nips that idea in the bud.

I thought so too. Now that we can see the Posted changes, for 2022my from Ford, we ca only look forward to being DISAPPOINTED AGAIN!!!

Can you use a brush guard with the capable bumper? 🤔

The capable bumper is not capable of supporting the official Ford brush guard.

There may be aftermarket options down the line.

One thing seems to be missing in this timeline......Unless I didn't see this issue already addressed. We are supposed to be able to move our reservation to another dealer because of allocation constraints during the first week of the 2022 order banks opening.
How, and when will we be able to do this within Ford's rules?

This has probably been answered, but does anyone know whether or not if I update my ‘22 black diamond to a soft top, do they still
include the hard-top prep kit?

Thanks

Edit:

Ok I saw earlier on this thread that it is…but as I’m typing this I’m LITERALLY on the phone with Ford and a “bronco specialist”. She said “it doesn’t look like it does so I wouldn’t change to a soft top if you want to add the hard top later”.

Gee. It’s amazing the simple things that get polar opposite answers depending on who you talk to….

I trust the post on this site more than her…but now who knows.

If my dealer says it does, I give it a 50/50 chance that it’s accurate.

Curious about this as well... and also the status of all the other things that have been promised from Ford over the last year for reservation holders (reward points, etc)

I also thought about changing, from Wildtrak to Badlands, but it kept coming back about $2800 more to get the badlands with the extra options. I'm not saying that I can't afford the extra $2800... I'm just saying that I'm too cheap to accept a downgrade that costs me extra bucks!!!

Is it really a downgrade??? Drop the sasquatch package on the badlands (it's really a small lift, wheels, and tires) - you'll probably want something different anyway. You'll get the Sway Bar Disconnect for the extra $400.

More info on a dealer's perspective for the '22 order rollout.....

They specifically state that they feel, not 100% confident, order movement will be case by case.

Crazy that here we are a day before order banks open and even the dealers don't know whether people can switch. Doesn't Ford pay people to figure out and communicate these things?
