I don’t know for certain, but typically, if a company’s Fiscal Year (for accounting purposes) is the same as the Calendar Year, the date acronym for the 4th quarter will just be listed as “Q4”. If the Fiscal Year is different than the Calendar Year, it will typically say say something like “FY Q4”. Most publications targeted at consumers (versus financial reports targeted at analysts and investors) will adhere to a Calendar Year convention. So I suspect that Q4 here simply refers to the Calendar Year and means October through December.

Understood. That’s why i said “typically” and noted differences for specific audiences.

Anyway, I just looked up Ford’s fiscal calendar, and it is January to December, so in this case, FY and CY are the same, and Q4 means Oct-Dec.

Not "rot" so much as disintegrate in the 110degree blazing sun.

I thought about 5-tire rotations since we get the 5 matching rims, and I like the idea of showing off my 5th matching rim. But that commits me to buying 5 tires instead of 4 the next time I have to replace all of them.

Anyone know if the extra life on my tires doing 5-tire rotations will offset the extra expense of replacing them 5 at a time?

If you rotate in the spare you get 20% more life out of the set. Rotating that spare makes a rotation simple easy because you only need one good jack and only one corner is off the ground at a time. You can do the whole swap in 10 minutes. If you need to use the spare it will already be worn close enough to match the diameter of the others. If you don’t rotate in the spare because you think you are saving from having to buy a 5th, you will have to get the same size and type of tire next time. Can’t decide to go bigger unless you buy a 5th anyway.
